Brian Austin Green says this was the breaking point that caused Megan Fox marriage to crumble

Brian Austin Green admitted he began getting under his ex-wife Megan Fox‘s skin before their nearly 10-year marriage went downhill.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum said he realized he and the “Transformers” star were having issues when she got mad at his chewing.

“She’d gotten to the point where things weren’t great, so I think everything was annoying her,” he explained to former co-star Tori Spelling during Monday’s episode of the “MisSPELLING” podcast.

“You kind of get to the point where you’re like, ‘God, just the way you’re shuffling your feet right now. The way you’re putting that toast in the toaster’s just driving me crazy.’ It’s all that stupid little stuff,” Green, 51, continued.

“That to me is when you either have to make the choice to say, ‘OK, we’re going to go into therapy, and we’re gonna try to find our connection and figure out what’s going on now, or these things are going to sink us.'”

He added, “They’re going to be the death of us. Because they just build up and build up and get worse and worse.”

Spelling, 51, recalled learning about Fox’s chewing pet peeve when they were filming the “Beverly Hills, 90210” reboot in 2019.

“I remember thinking at the time, ‘How bad could it be? She loves him. That really bothers her?'” the podcast host recalled.

Green and Fox, 38, started dating in 2004 and tied the knot in 2010.

The “Jennifer’s Body” star first filed for divorce in 2015 before reconciling with Green that same year.

They officially pulled the plug on their marriage in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2022.

The former couple shares three children: Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6.

In March, Fox opened up about her relationship with Green on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, admitting she was “not great” to him and would fall for “other people all the time.”

“I would go to work and fall in love because I was a kid and, yeah, I never had the full freedom to be single and experience that life,” the actress said.

“I was young and really should not have been in a relationship of that level of commitment and that magnitude.”

Fox, meanwhile, recently broke off her engagement to on-again, off-again boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly.
