Cher has opened up about losing her virginity.
The songstress recently released her new autobiography Cher: The Memoir Part One and in the book, Cher recalls the first time she had sex, which she branded as "massively overrated".
Cher fancied a boy who lived nearby and the pair began dating when she was just 14-years-old. They used to kiss in her bedroom but she quickly noticed that his behaviour seemed to change when his was around his pals: "[He] was sweet enough when we were alone but as soon as his friends came around, he'd treat me like an embarrassing kid."

At one point the guy's friends asked if he was going to bring "that kid" along while they hung out, referring to his girlfriend and future chart-topping Hollywood icon Cher. The boy "ditched" her and Cher was understandably heartbroken.
"I was so hurt when he did that, I had revenge sex with him. I had never wanted to. Otherwise I would have done it to one of the five hundred other times he asked, but I was so angry at being dismissed I decided to if not lose, [then] loan out my virginity to him."
""When what turned out to be a massively overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, 'Is that it? Are we finished?' Then I told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel just as dismissed as he'd made me feel."
The future superstar had enough of his antics and even after he tried to make it up to her, she never spoke to him again. Cher also recalled that after the first time she had sex, she heard her mother's voice nagging in her ear.
"My mother warned me that the minute I lost my virginity she'd know because she'd see it in my eyes, so after the romp with the Italian, I ran to the mirror to check. I half expected to see the word SEX flashing in fluorescent letters across my forehead, but I couldn't spot anything different, and she didn't either."
Although she didn't say a word to her mother, Cher did explain what went down to her gal pals: "I reported to my friends that the 'thing' they were constantly talking about was no big deal and that they should carry on kissing."
