The promotional events are in full swing for the upcoming film “Wicked,” and the lead stars — Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande — are embracing method dressing like no other. The cast members recently graced the Australian premiere of the musical fantasy movie in Sydney. Meanwhile, Erivo’s dramatic look was yet another lesson in method dressing as she channeled Elphaba, the character she plays in “Wicked,” in a Marc Jacobs ensemble.

Cynthia Erivo arrived at the Australian premiere of “Wicked” in a runway look from the Marc Jacobs Ready to Wear Fall/Winter 2011 show. The 37-year-old’s ensemble included an emerald and black blouse adorned with embroidery design. The fitted bodice features a rounded neckline, which is slightly elevated on the shoulders. Meanwhile, the long sleeves are enhanced with an extended cuff decorated with buttons.

Erivo’s look included a black pencil skirt with the blouse’s design that was worn above black stockings. The actor’s Elphaba-inspired look also featured a black and white fascinator hat, which slightly matched the cuffs. Erivo completed the ensemble with dramatic black platform heels adorned with a series of buckles. Besides that, the star’s dazzling emerald manicure accentuated the look. Erivo accessorized herself with jewelry from MÈRENOR by Amie Satchu.

For the latest premiere event, Erivo was styled by Jason Bolden, who has worked with the actor to curate many of her stunning looks. Following the event, the Tony Award-winning actor took to her Instagram to flaunt her new fashion stint. Erivo captioned the post, “Dear Australia, we came, we saw, we cried, and we laughed. Thank you for hosting us. Now onto the next!” In another post, the actor also shared a detailed look at her breathtaking nail art, as she continued the Elphaba inspiration.

“Wicked” will hit the theatres on November 22.
