Dunelm has a simple yet genius solution to help flesh out tired and balding Christmas trees this festive season. Instead of getting a whole new centrepiece, the trick costs as little as £2.
The find was shared in the Bargain Lovers Facebook group by Emma Stevenson. She shared pictures of her Christmas tree making its annual appearance but it needed some help where it had lost some of the volume in its branches.
She said: "If your tree is looking a bit sad and bare I highly recommend this from Dunelm to bush it out. Can’t see it on the tree at all (depending on your tree). I used 4 but ran out closer to the bottom!"

On the Dunelm website, the Bushy Green Tinsel costs £2 for a 2m string. It is said to add "easy elegance" to your festive decorating.
It continued: "It's the subtle touch that adds a sprinkle of enchantment to every corner. Whether you're a decorating maestro or just diving into the DIY world, this tinsel is your trusty partner-in-shine. Let your imagination take the lead as you twist, twirl, and drape to your heart's content."

Over on the Dunelm website, someone else begged: "Very pleased with this and looks great with garlands. Please re-stock as I would love to buy more for my decorating!"
A shopper also shared: "I almost got a new bushier tree this year as our old one is getting a bit thin, but I read it's more eco-friendly to bulk out an old one and get a few more years out of it. Enter this tinsel — big and bushy, hasn't moulted at all, plugs all the gaps, and gave my tree a new lease of life! Plus, it's way cheaper than buying a new one. 10 out of 10!"

Some did suggest the tinsel would be better if it accommodated non-traditional tree colours - like white. Another claimed that the tinsel was "not quite as bushy" as they hoped but admitted the temporary solution was much cheaper than replacing a whole tree.
There are alternatives, such as B&Q's Green Christmas Tinsel £1.60 version that covers the same length. You could also order longer reams off Amazon with this LOKIPA 10M Chunky Christmas Tinsel for £8.99, which also has a snow-effect green too.
