Eamonn, 65, and Ruth, 64, announced their divorce in May after being together for 27 years and married for 14. The GB News presenter is now dating counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, and and reportedly told pals he wants them to tie the knot.
Eamonn took to his Instagram to post a sweet photo of his late mum Josie, who passed away in November 2022 at the age of 93. He told his followers there was nothing more that he wanted other than to see her again.

Alongside the photo of him and mum Josie, he wrote: "When folk ask me 'What do u want for Christmas?' 3 Christmases without u now Mum and u r still top of my wish list".
Eamonn's followers rushed to support the broadcaster in the comments. One commented: "That’s the top of my list too…My Mum… It’s so very hard!! "I’m sure she’ll be looking on down on you".
Another wrote: "Thinking of you. Losing someone is hardest this time of year." A third said: "This is my first without my mum and my granny (who died within 10 hours of each other in April. Very hard Christmas."
Earlier this week, Ruth shared an update on her 93-year-old mum who was rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty fall. She wrote: "Hospital visit… thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum.
"She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas.” The post was liked by ex Eamonn in what appears to be the first time the pair connected publicly since their split.
It comes after reports Ruth and Eamonn Holmes want to settle their divorce quickly in the New Year. According to the Daily Mail, Ruth wants to stay at their Surrey home.
A source said: "Ruth is keen to stay in their marital home as it is where she is settled, Eamonn on the other hand wants to get out and make a fresh start." They added: "They aren't dragging their heels and want this settled and done as quickly as possible."
