Actor Lisa Riley has shared that she's convinced that her late pal Robin Windsor is sending her signs from the afterlife.

The 48 year old says she's been experiencing unusual occurrences since his death at just 44 in February, with her suspecting that Robin, who was her dance partner on Strictly Come Dancing, is attempting to communicate. In an interview with the Daily Star, she revealed: "I was driving home the other night and I saw something and I thought it was an angel. I thought 'somebody wants to say hello'. There was this energy."

Lisa said she's sensed Robin around her once more when she unexpectedly heard the song, Car Wash, which they danced to on Strictly in 2012, on the radio. She shared: "I was filming a scene for Emmerdale and got in the van to drive to go back the set and it was playing on the radio. By the law of averages, there's more chance of me winning the lottery than that song playing. I went 'that's too much of a coincidence'."

The experiences are said to be giving Lisa comfort as she mourns the loss of Robin. She said: "There are signs and you've got to hold onto them. That gets me through it. Robin would want that."

Lisa also spoke about receiving messages from Strictly fans who also feel the loss. Reflecting on his impact, she said: "Now the series is back on, there has been an outpouring of love. If Robin had known how loved he was, would we be in the situation we're in? We need to look after young lads."

It was announced that former Strictly pro Robin had passed away, at the age of 44, in February. The news of his death was shared by Burn The Floor, the dance company where he was a founding member. Tributes then poured in for the much-loved dancer, who continued to be a fan favourite long after leaving the BBC show, as reported by OK! magazine.

Lisa was among those who paid tribute to her late former dance partner following the news of his passing earlier this year. She wrote in a post on social media at the time: "My bestie, my robin, my angel ... now our forever angel, who is loved, will always be loved, forever in my heart ... my very broken heart. I love you. Shine your beautiful, electric energy from heaven. Shine in peace."
