Denzel Washington’s daughter Katia has stunned fans with the height difference between her and her wife, Colleen Wilson.

The couple, who largely stay out of the public eye, appeared together at the Critics Choice Association’s 7th Annual Celebration Of Black Cinema And Television on December 9.

Katia, 37 – Denzel’s eldest daughter – is a film producer who has been married to Colleen since 2023.

The pair looked sharp, with Katia wearing a skinny tie and a khaki suit and Colleen wearing an off the shoulder midi-dress.

Colleen, formerly a ballerina, is 6’4″, according to MailOnline, towering over her much shorter 5’2″ wife.

The pair looked relaxed and happy to be there, smiling widely as they strolled down the red carpet.

Fans soon took note of the couple’s distinct height difference, with users on TikTok marveling at the seemingly mismatched but adorable couple.

While many in the comments were shocked to discover Denzel has a daughter at all, others were more focused on the heights of the two women.

One person penned: ‘Ya’ll are trippen over that being his daughter, I’m trying to figure out HOW TALL IS HER WIFE???! Gaaaaaad***n!’

Another person wrote: ‘Is she really short or is her wife just really tall?’

Another celebrated Colleen’s decision to wear heels, commenting: ‘The height difference is crazy. As a tall girl I love that she is still wearing her heels.’

Katia’s mum is Pauletta Pearson, who Denzel married in 1983 and with whom he shares four children: John David, Katia, and twins Olivia and Malcolm.

The couple first welcome their son John David in July 1984.

Katia followed in November 1986, and in April 1991, Denzel and Pauletta welcomed twins Malcolm and Olivia.

Both Katia and Malcolm work in the film industry like their famous father.

Malcolm’s directorial debut, The Piano Lesson, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.

Denzel is proud of all four of his children, and during an interview with Esquire in November, the Gladiator II star said his children are the thing he’s proudest of in his life.

‘When I think of what I’m proudest of, anything I’ve accomplished doesn’t even come to mind,’ he said.

‘It’s our children: They’re good people. They know right from wrong. What else can you ask for, you know?’
