Gary Barlow's son Daniel has became an internet sensation as fans can't believe how much he towers over his famous dad.
Take That star Gary shocked fans when he posted a rare family photo that showed he and wife Dawn posing with their son Daniel and one of their daughters. But all eyes were on 24-year-old Daniel because of how much he loomed over Gary and the rest of his family.
Memes spread like wildfire on social media, with Daniel being compared to a 'giant' and a mighty Viking warrior. But there's some mystery surrounding the lofty lad, who seems to have mostly evaded the spotlight until now.

Daily Star has rounded up everything we know about Gary's son as he goes viral on social media.
'That' family photo
They say "a picture is worth a thousand words", and no clearer is this the case than when you take a look at this Barlow family photo. Because you don't need a thousand words to see how much taller Daniel is than Gary and the rest of his family.
In the picture, Daniel can be seen resting an arm resting on the Take That singer's shoulder as he and Gary beam at the camera. Fans were shocked at the huge height difference and rushed to the comments to point it out.
One user on X quipped: "Gary Barlow's massive son is the reason twitter was made for." Another wrote: "Many parents at some point see one or more of their offspring grow up to be taller than them – but few can have experienced this so viscerally as."
A third, referencing Alan Partridge, joked: "Gary Barlow's son is scared, he doesn't know why he's so big". A fourth compared Daniel to a Viking warrior, joking: "A vast Viking axeman – and to a songsmith born! Extraordinary. He may smite his musical father in one mighty blow and ride – laughing – to Valhalla to feast. But it may displease the gods. such is the way of war."
Some fans suggested Gary's son should have a tear-up with Donald Trump's uber-tall son Barron, who stands at 6ft 7in. To see just how many incredible memes have been made, click here to check up our round up.
Real height
However, fans may be surprised to learn that Daniel isn't actually a giant looking down on every other male who walks the earth. He's tall, yes, but not miles beyond the average height of a man in the UK.
He stands at 6"2, compared to his dad Gary's 5"7. The average male height in the UK is 5"9, meaning Gary is slightly under average.
What job does Daniel have?
If fans had their way, Daniel would either be leading us all into battle or stepping foot in the boxing ring to fight the US president's son. But it turns out Daniel probably won't be doing any of those things, at least for the minute.
It looks like the 24-year-old won't be following in the footsteps of his famous dad Gary with a career in pop music. It seems he's swerved showbiz for stethoscopes as he's currently pursuing a job in science.
Gary said of his son Daniel and daughter Emily: "The two oldest ones [Daniel and Emily] have kind of gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning – and my youngest one, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for but again, she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife.
He continued to the Mirror: "I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn’t have discouraged them though if they did want to, it’s been a good business for me.
"Every day I still enjoy what I do and when you realise you’re making a living from it, it’s a great, great place to be. Many roles in 'showbiz' are just wonderful, there’s definitely a much harder world out there than the one I’m in I think."
Sporty son
It seems like Gary's son is a keen sportsman. In 2019, he was seen lifting weights alongside the singer in the garden. Gary himself poked fun at their height difference when he shared a clip of the father-son bonding session.
He wrote: "I love spending time with my kids. Here’s Dan and I having a father and son training session. I’m very proud of my boy & his commitment to his fitness. Don’t look at the difference in weights. Don’t notice that I’m stood a little further forward to make the size gap smaller. Lol."
The video clip showed Gary wearing an all black ensemble while holding weights in each hand. The former X Factor judge grimaced and grit his teeth while lifting the apparatus while Daniel stood beside him performing the same workout with ease.
Barlow’s son wore a pair of bright red shorts as the duo pumped iron in the back garden. Gary’s fans were quick to rip the Take That singer for his height and jokingly asked whether his mother is “a giant”.
And Gary recently revealed he had completed his first Ironman competition. The proud dad said: "We just couldn't be prouder of our boy - unbelievable amounts of training and determination - when you put in the work you get the results.."
Proud dad Gary and mum Dawn
Gary shares son Daniel and daughters Emily, 22, and Daisy, 15, with Dawn. The pair also had daughter Poppy, who tragically died as a stillborn in 2012.
The proud parents met when dancer Dawn was a backup dancer on tour with Take That in 1995. They tied the knot in 2000 and have stayed strong ever since.
Gary and Dawn, and presumably their kids, have homes in west London and Santa Monica. Gary and Dawn also used to have a West Oxfordshire mansion called Delamere Manor.
Gary previously discussed how he felt his kids were "growing up too fast". - an apt admission considering Daniel's impressive height. He told the Belfast Telegraph in 2019: "I always feel they're growing up too fast - it's weird.
"It's all going to sound like someone's said it a million times as parents, but it feels like a race. They're doing this and they're doing that, and all of a sudden you turn around and they've grown up."
He added: "I have good days and bad days. Some days I'm a terrible parent, other days I'm good. But I owe it all - their upbringing - to my wife because I've been on tour for most it, travelling around and making records, and she's been the one who's gone to all the parent evenings and done all the stuff, so it's all because of her."
