The Girls Aloud Show will be air on ITV on Sunday November 17 - what would have been Sarah Harding's 43rd birthday.

The reunion tour saw Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl play 30 shows across the UK and Ireland. Footage at one of these gigs, the performance at The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in west London, will air on TV later this month, the band confirmed today.

The date - November 17 - is particularly poignant because their late bandmate Sarah would have turned 43 then. She died aged 39 in September 2021 following a brave journey with breast cancer. The Girls Aloud Show is the group's first tour since Sarah's death.

Speaking about the premiere date, singer Nicola said: "This show is a massive celebration of our journey over the last 22 years. It was a great chance for us to showcase our catalogue of music that we’re so proud of, and to celebrate and remind people of our incredible Sarah."

The Girls Aloud Show, the group's first gigs in more than 10 years, saw the girls perform number one singles Sound of the Underground, I'll Stand By You and The Promise.

Cheryl, who between 2009 and 2014 embarked on a successful solo career, said: "It was pure joy and nostalgia at every show. It was amazing to look out at the crowd every night, especially in the moments when we all remembered Sarah together."

Nadine added: "The Girls Aloud Show is a unique experience because there's so much excitement and camaraderie in the room – we're all in it together. Our fans got so creative with their costumes – they came as different eras of Girls Aloud."

And Kimberley said: "It's exciting to think that anyone who didn't manage to see The Girls Aloud Show when we toured the UK is going to have this chance to share it with us now."

Cheryl patched things up with Nadine ahead of The Girls Aloud Show tour, it is understood. Girls Aloud broke up for a second time in 2013, but Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola Roberts kept a close bond, while Sarah and Nadine didn't.
