Susanna Reid has shared her stark views on Phillip Schofield's latest TV endeavour in a fresh and frank interview. The forthright Good Morning Britain anchor, aged 53, was not shy about her disinterest when she was quizzed whether she had caught Schofield's recent Channel 5 series, his first project since his high-profile departure from This Morning back in May last year.
Despite the proximity of their shows at ITV Studios, when probed on Phillips new programme, Susanna's response was unequivocal: "I didn't watch it, and I don't know him."
Her rather chilly comment reflects the swirling debate regarding Phillip's much-discussed exit from ITV following his acknowledgment of an affair with a younger colleague. This revelation ignited intense media attention and reportedly caused tension between him and This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby.
Phillip withdrew from the limelight after stepping down from his long-standing role in May 2023, only to re-emerge on the small screen with his Channel 5 adventure this September. The seasoned 62 year old presenter undertakes an emotional and physical trial as he faces the wilderness of an isolated tropical island, in an apparent bid for personal redemption.

Phillip Schofield might have been hoping for a clean slate with his latest TV venture, but Susanna Reid's sharp remark indicates that not everyone is ready to welcome him back with open arms. Susanna, herself accustomed to the glare of public scrutiny, understands all too well the pressures that come with a high-profile television career, reports OK!.
In the same breath, she shared insights from her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.
She fondly recalled her time on the dance floor, lauding her partner Kevin Clifton and likening the experience to being on a "different planet" awash with glitz and glamour. However, Susanna didn't shy away from addressing the recent bullying scandals that have tainted the BBC show's reputation, extending her empathy to those who've suffered poor treatment.

Susanna stated: "'I think it's really important that if people have had a bad experience that is addressed and they are supported."
In related news, Phillip's erstwhile colleague from This Morning, Holly Willoughby, has set social media abuzz by dropping hints about her upcoming television project. The 43 year old presenter gave fans a sneak peek with behind-the-scenes photos from her new, yet-to-be-revealed TV programme, promising a "night of glorious giggles.
