Danny Foster rose to fame in the pop group Hear'Say

Danny Foster, a familiar face from the noughties for pop music fans across the UK, was one fifth of the group Hear'Say alongside Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan. Known for hits like Pure and Simple, The Way to Your Love and Everybody, the group formed on the ITV show Popstars in 2001, securing four UK Top 40 singles and their debut album topped the charts.

However, less than two years after their rise to fame, the group disbanded in 2002. Their record label Polydor stated that the group felt "they had lost the support of the public and Hear'Say had come to a natural end", reports OK!.

Now, over two decades since his sudden thrust into the spotlight, 45 year old Danny is barely recognisable. He can be found on Instagram these days, sharing videos related to yoga, mindfulness and gratitude. Besides being a talented singer, the Pure and Simple hitmaker also teaches meditation online, sharing reels of himself meditating and even starting his own meditation club. Bandmate Suzanne showed her support under one of the videos, writing: "so amazing you are sharing your knowledge!"

Danny, who continues to work in the music industry, has also created the soul revue show Danny Foster and The Big Soul Corporation with his wife Victoria, whom he married in 2016. Together, they have spent the last decade entertaining audiences with songs from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and The Temptations.

In 2013, Danny appeared on The Voice, where he tried to impress coaches Jessie J, Tom Jones, Will.i.Am and Danny O'Donoghue with a rendition of Spice Girls' Wannabe. However, none of the judges turned their chairs for him. "You sing really well and I understand what you were trying to do but it just didn't come together for me," Tom Jones said, attributing his decision not to turn around to the song choice. "I didn't turn around because it was good but it wasn't amazing," Jessie J explained.

"I thought the track was a little bit karaoke. That was why I didn't turn," added Danny from The Script. Speaking to Digital Spy about the show, Danny revealed his reasons for participating. "I didn't fancy eating kangaroo testicles in the jungle," he said. "I've been waiting for a talent show that was based on singing."
