Ailee is an engaged woman! That’s right, the K-pop soloist revealed she would be walking down the aisle in 2025 to Single’s Inferno star Choi Si Hoon. So, who exactly is the lucky guy?!

When Did Ailee Announce Her Engagement?
It was first reported that the two stars were romantically linked in May 2024. Then, in November 2024, Ailee’s agency A2Z Entertainment officially confirmed the news of their engagement in a statement.
“Ailee will marry Choi Si Hun, a businessman and former actor, on April 20 next year. The two met through an acquaintance’s introduction and have been in a romantic relationship for about a year. They decided to marry in May of this year based on their deep affection and trust. After making the decision, they received the blessings of both families. We are grateful to the fans who have sent their congratulations and support since their relationship became public.”
In an October 2024, episode of JohnMaat YouTube channel’s “BYOB” series, the beloved soloist guest starred and talked about her romance.
Explaining how “sad” she was that she “didn’t get to announce the relationship” herself, Ailee shared with the show hosts that the two of them started off as friends, but soon enough, they knew they had found “the one” in each other.
“We weren’t even interested in each other at that time,” she said of when they first met. “We were just hanging out. But the more I got to talk to him, and got to, you know, get to know him better… I realized what a good person he was. As we got to talking, we both kind of realized at the same time, like, “Oh, shoot. I think I’m going to marry him.” And he knew.”
She added, “He’s very supportive. And he babies me, so… And I’m like, 35 being babied. It feels really good!”
Ailee also revealed where the two “officially” became a couple.
“It was during the concert when we became a couple. He didn’t ‘ask me out’ or anything. It was kind of chilly and I had his jacket over my knees. We were enjoying the music and, like, I put my hands inside the jacket. And we kind of, like, touched. Our hands kind of touched and … I didn’t move. So while everybody was like dancing and singing along, my face was red.”
Who Is Choi Si Hoon?
Choi was born in South Korea on October 27, 1992 (a Scorpio to Ailee’s Gemini). He got his start in the entertainment business as a K-pop star, as he’s a former member of the now-defunct boy band TRIPLEME, a pre-debut group under Polaris Entertainment. He also starred in the K-drama shows such as Clumsy Love, I Started Following Romance, Romanced, I Ate Well Today and The New Employee.
Choi is best known for appearing in the popular Netflix dating show Single’s Inferno in 2021.
