The Chase star Mark Labbett has astounded fans with a snapshot showcasing his recent co-parenting catch-up with ex Katie, causing quite the stir with her stunning new look. The 59 year old brainiac, famed for his role as 'The Beast', looked happy as he reunited with Katie, 31, his ex partner and second cousin, five months after their split yet still his legal wife.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Mark shared a cheerful photo from their outing, alongside their son Lawrence on a jaunt to an adventure park, where Katie shone in a chic monochrome top paired with shimmering platinum hair cascading past her shoulders.
In an endearing post captured at the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden while visiting The Making of Harry Potter, Mark penned: "Co-parenting in London part one #wbtourlondon. Little Monster loved the Forbidden Forest."
Their relationship concluded in 2020, wrapping up a seven-year chapter. The age gap and lockdown pressures were cited by Mark as factors in their split, with him stepping away to give Katie space for new love.
Katie, who practices nursing, shared that her split from Mark wasn't exclusively due to his The Chase endeavors but also to other aspects including her connection with a man named Scott, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
Mark Labbett, famed 'The Beast' on ITV's The Chase, and Katie met in a modern-day fairy tale romance via Facebook back in 2010; unbeknownst to Katie who admitted: "I had never heard of Mark, or watched The Chase, but my gran mentioned him so I was intrigued."
Their love story saw them getting engaged in October 2013, but things took a recent turn when Mark concluded his relationship with girlfriend Hayley Palmer after one year, attributing their split to his own personal issues and ageing process.
Speaking to the press Mark unveiled his feelings, saying: "It's me, I got old".
Reflecting further, Mark shared insights into his time with Hayley, remarking: "She's [Hayley's] a lovely lady and I was very lucky to date her for a year, and as I said...it's me, I got old.
"There's been no one since Hayley, I'm not saying there won't be another one. But I'm certainly not looking."
