Jeremy Clarkson's future on Clarkson's Farm after hiding heart surgery

2 weeks ago 15

Jeremy Clarkson has announced that his popular Amazon Prime series, Clarkson's Farm, will be returning for a fifth season. The former Top Gear host, 64, has already presented three seasons of the docuseries, which documents life on his Oxfordshire farm, Diddly Squat Farm.

A fourth season, previously announced, is yet to be released. The news of a fifth season was confirmed by both Jeremy and Prime Video in a joint social media post on Tuesday evening, stating that production is now officially underway.

In a video clip shared in the post, fireworks form a '5' in the sky as Jeremy announces: "Over the years, bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements, the birth of the baby Jesus, for example. But tonight, they're being used to make an announcement that's even bigger than that. Season Five of Clarkson's Farm is coming."

This exciting news follows reports that Jeremy had returned to filming after undergoing heart surgery. He was reportedly seen filming with co-star Kaleb Cooper, 26, outside his country pub, the Farmer's Dog.

Jeremy Clarkson is returning to work

Footage published by the Sun shows Jeremy operating machinery to move logs and sharing a health update with a fan, saying: "I'm fine, thank you," reports the Mirror.

Clarkson's Farm has been causing quite the stir with Jeremy's Diddly Squat farm shop drawing in hoards of fans, leading to lengthy queues in the tranquil village of Chadlington, near Chipping Norton. The TV presenter has been on a roll since the show launched in 2021, expanding his empire with ventures such as Hawkstone Brewery and managing a pub in Asthall, close to Burford.

Series five has been confirmed

Although viewers will have to hold their horses for season four, expected only next year, the latest series didn't skimp on drama, covering everything from Jeremy's tiffs with the local council, grappling with the impact of the 2022 drought and featuring scenes of his right-hand man Kaleb and land agent Charlie Ireland talking with ex-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at a food producers meeting in Downing Street.

Last month, Clarkson dropped the bombshell in his Sunday Times column that he had undergone heart surgery, admitting the doc's orders are to take the foot off the pedal. He told the Sun that overhauling his hard-living ways post-health scare has been nothing short of "horrific".

He opened up about his health struggles

Opening up about his health battle, Jeremy recounted how he struggled with stairs while away on holiday and then faced a "sudden deterioration" back home. Eventually winding up in hospital, thankfully a heart attack was ruled out, but it wasn't all good news - turns out one artery was completely blocked and another wasn't far behind.

He's now had a stent fitted, which is a nifty little gadget aimed at heading off any future heart attacks by getting the blood flowing right to where it needs to go – his heart.
