Katie Price has opened up about her "horrific" IVF treatment and explained why she "won't be watching" a programme that follows her efforts to have a baby.

The 46-year-old former glamour model, who shot to fame in the '90s under the name Jordan, is already a mum of five but has previously revealed that she wants to have more children.

In fact, Katie is set to feature in a Channel 4 documentary about her recent IVF journey, titled 'Katie Price: Making Babies', which covers her efforts to have a sixth child with her ex-partner, Carl Woods.

However, the former Page 3 model, who is currently dating Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, recently told Closer magazine that the experience was "horrific" and shared insights into her romantic life.

Katie said: "I've just done an IVF programme. I've got my twin dolls at home, which I'm not going into detail about. I did IVF, and that programme will be out next year. I won't be watching, as I don't want to be reminded of the past.

"The experience was horrific and, if I look back, I wasn't in the right relationship. I think things happen for a reason, if I'm honest."

Last month, it was reported that Katie had left fans confused when she posted a photo of two babies, revealing that her twins had "finally arrived".

However, it turned out the 'twins' were, in fact, reborn dolls, hyper-realistic dolls that can fetch thousands of pounds. Meanwhile, a source opened up to OK! about the reasons behind her decision to have the dolls.

"She's been through a lot of trauma in her life and she's been at her happiest when she's had her babies," they said. The source went on to explain that it's her "happy place and safe place" but with the dolls, she can "just get on with her life as normal".

Katie and Carl experienced three rounds of IVF but sadly had no success, with the pair parted ways. Katie told the Netmums Podcast that she was "grateful" for her five children but wants "more".

Katie also said: "And I don't want to be told by a doctor or something that I can't have more. So I'm looking into other journeys that if I want more, how I can do that, because I know I'm not done. I know I still want, if I could have two more kids, I would."

She also weighed in on fertility, revealing that she "didn't realise" until she underwent the IVF that "you're born with a set of eggs", and with "every period you have", you "get rid of eggs and stuff".

Katie added: "So mine are quite old now, so it's whether it produces a good egg or not."
