Nicole Kidman has revealed the Christmas "sin" she commits every year, which leads to her apologizing to her neighbours. The 57-year-old appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, where she shared this festive confession.
Kidman admitted that she is always the first and last to put up Christmas decorations, meaning her Christmas lights are visible as early as the start of November. While most people, in the USA, follow the tradition of setting up decorations right after Thanksgiving, which falls on November 28th, Kidman doesn't stick to this rule.
Sitting on the Late Show couch, Kidman explained: "Yes, I have lights up. I'm the person who has the lights up very, very early. We put them up at the beginning of November."
Colbert then asked if Kidman "pays attention to Thanksgiving at all" given her early start to the Christmas season. She clarified: "No, we do a huge Thanksgiving. I just like to have the lights up. So we've got the lights up. I apologized (to) all the neighbours."

Despite the festive spirit, the actress is trying to stay positive following the tragic passing of her beloved mother, Janelle, in September. This loss has led Kidman to reflect on her life and made her want to reconnect with her estranged children from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
The Australian-born actress, 57, has been devastated by the fact that her late mother never had the chance to rebuild her relationship with her grandchildren, whom Kidman adopted with her ex-husband Cruise.
Isabella and Connor Cruise were adopted by Tom and Kidman in 1992 and 1995 respectively - and the Hollywood power couple got joint custody when they divorced in 2001. However, the kids decided to stay in LA with their dad when their mum moved back to Australia.
Tom then raised Bella and Connor in the Church of Scientology and they have both become high-ranking members of the controversial faith.

According to the Official Chuirch of Scientology page, An SP is a person who seeks to suppress other people in their vicinity.
Speaking to New Idea Magazine, a source close to Kidman said: "Losing her mum has made Kidman not want to waste any more time. It hurt Janelle that she and husband Antony were estranged from Isabella and Connor."
"They were their first two grandchildren and were once very close. It was a deep regret that they were unable to see her in person before she died," they added. The source concluded by saying that the regret was 'fuelling her need for a proper reconciliation.'
