Lieutenant Colonel Johnny Thompson, the dashing aide to King Charles, has captured the hearts of many with his rugged charm and traditional Scottish attire.
As the King's trusted equerry, he has been a constant presence at high-profile events, often stealing the spotlight with his chiseled good looks.
Now, it's been revealed that the soldier, who separated from his wife over two years ago, has become engaged to his new love as reported by the Mirror, PR executive Olivia Lewis.
The couple, who have been dating for around a year, are said to be "well matched and very happy". It follows Thompson's promotion to super equerry, a role that will see him working closely with the King and Queen, overseeing the monarch's private affairs.
While this new position may mean he's less visible in public, fans will no doubt be thrilled to hear of his engagement, announced in The Times as follows: "The engagement is announced between Lieutenant Colonel Jonny Thompson, son of Mr and Mrs Alan Thompson of Morpeth, Northumberland, and Olivia Rose, daughter of Mr and Mrs Simon Lewis OBE of Primrose Hill, London."
Equerries, who are selected from the armed forces, have the duty of assisting royals both within their residences and during public engagements.

The 40-year-old has been a constant presence at the King's side since his reign began, playing a significant role at the late Queen's funeral, the Coronation, and even gaining a new fanbase across the English Channel when he joined Charles and Camilla on their French visit last year.
He was also spotted sitting behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a service commemorating the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee last year and welcomed former Prime Minister and current PM Rishi Sunak during his Buckingham Palace visit to see the King.

One admirer previously commented on Twitter: "Major Johnny Thompson is a tremendous hunk! " Another added: "I think I'm getting a wee crush on King Charles's new royal equerry."
His charm also caught the attention of society bible Tatler magazine, which commended his ability to "look as good in a suit as he goes in a kilt."
It elaborated: "It is from within the palace walls that the King's equerry wields his unique brand of quiet, charming power; but he's spotted where it counts, at the coronation, or on the opening night of the Berntson Bhattacharjee Gallery in Fitzrovia, for example, to which he wore a bunny tie and charmed India Rose James."
