Love Island's Ciaran and Nicole share secrets to successful relationship

Love Island runners-up Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel stunned on the red carpet last night - and the pair look more loved up than ever.

Ciaran and Nicole are just one of two couples still together since leaving the villa in the summer, and they shared their secrets about what it takes for a relationship to work after meeting on the ITV2 reality show. The pair, both from Wales, coupled up quickly and remained together throughout the whole process, even saying they loved each other.

However they lost out on the top spot to Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan. Despite coming in second place, they are still firmly loved up months later - and have even moved together, sharing the secrets to their successful and strong relationship.

So, when it comes to what couples need to do in order to stay together after the show, the pair agreed: "It's all about communication". The only other couple still together since the show wrapped on July 29 is Jess and Ayo.

Ciaran and Nicole said since leaving the villa they have been stronger than ever, with them even moving in together already. Nicole said since leaving it has been "amazing", adding: "I am just so grateful for every opportunity." While Ciaran called it a "whirlwind".

But to make it work, they said it's all about good communication. Nicole said: "Communication is definitely our biggest thing. It's our number one safe ground." Adapting to life outside of the villa, Nicole and Ciaran have moved in together, staying in Wales close to home. They said it's just like "being in the villa" and said they were "always together", so nothing has changed.

"The reaction since leaving has been amazing, we've been shown so much love. Some Love Island contestants don't get a good reaction and can get hate, but for us it's been the opposite," Ciaran explained. Nicole then joked she never thought "in a million years" she would become a meme after a clip of her went viral asking, "Who's Emma?" when it came to a girl Ciaran was speaking to while in the villa.

"I never wanted to listen to my voice on the show, but the first thing when I went on TikTok and there was a clip of me saying 'Who's Emma?' and I just thought, oh my god, what is this? It's everywhere. But it's so funny and everyone found it hilarious. I never thought me, a little girl from the Valley, would become so iconic."

The pair are always in touch with their fellow castmates and said they always meet up and excitedly hinted they have a few things in the pipeline coming up too.
