While most major retailers will reopen on Boxing Day, to offer post-Christmas Sales, M&S has said it will remain closed until 27 December.

In a statement, M&S said: “Our stores, support centres and distribution centres will be closed on Boxing Day so colleagues can spend more time with loved ones, but the majority of stores will reopen on the 27 December for our seasonal Sale.”

Similarly, most John Lewis stores will be closed on Boxing Day, apart from John Lewis Stratford, which will open between 10am and 5pm, and at Manchester's Trafford Centre, which will be open between 10am and 8pm.

Among the supermarkets that have clothing ranges, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco will all open on Boxing Day, although opening hours may differ from the usual times.
