Oasis have set the entertainment world alight by expanding their highly anticipated reunion tour, sending fans worldwide into a state of euphoria.
Following an electric surge of excitement over the summer when they first announced their return, the iconic Britpop legends are all geared up to triumphantly step back into the spotlight with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher seemingly burying the hatchet for this monumental series of gigs.
Ticket sales have skyrocketed, with seats for their impending UK and Ireland concerts for next year getting snapped up instantaneously.
Launching their epic journey on July 4 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, the Gallaghers and their bandmates will then electrify stages in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and further afield in North America, having filled arenas in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Toronto, and Chicago already short after tickets were released.
But the thrill doesn't stop there, as Oasis have just declared plans to conquer the Southern Hemisphere with additional dates in Melbourne and Sydney.
As if that wasnt enough, they broke news on Tuesday of even more shows being added to their globe-trotting tour, promising two spectacular nights at Buenos Aires' Estadio River Plate in Argentina, before lighting up stages in Chile and culminating in Brazil come November.
After a 16-year hiatus from South American performances, Oasis return is nothing short of legendary, especially with a poignant comeback to Estadio River Plate, a venue brimming with history for the band.
In heartfelt communiques to their South American admirers, the band declared, particularly to their Argentine fans: "People of the great nation of Argentina. Oasis are coming home to The River Plate. Be there."
Oasis has sparked a frenzy among fans with their latest tour announcement, sending out a rallying cry to their South American followers. To Brazil, they declared: "People of Brazil. Carnival has come early. Fix up. Look sharp. Oasis will see you soon.", reports the Mirror.
And to the Chilean faithful: "People of Chile get ready, the brothers are coming."
With tickets expected to fly off the shelves, a special fan presale is set before the general release next week.
Hopeful attendees can sign up for the presale now at oasisinet.com until Wednesday, November 6th at 11am local time, with the grand sale kicking off on Wednesday, November 13th.
However, not all is well in the Oasis camp as the tour's launch has been marred by ticketing troubles. A multitude of fans were left incensed after being shut out during the ticket purchasing process.
To add insult to injury, a controversial 'dynamic pricing' strategy saw ticket prices soar amid high demand, leaving many would-be concertgoers watching prices skyrocket while stuck in the online queue.
Fans who purchased re-sold tickets for the Wonderwall singers via third-party websites like Viagogo could be left disappointed as their tickets may be nullified. The band's promoters, Live Nation and SJM, informed BBC File on 4 that they plan to cancel over 50,000 tickets not directly sold through their ticketing platforms.
These cancelled tickets will then be re-listed on Ticketmaster at their original price.
