Paris Fury speaks out after Tyson admitted he hasn’t said a word to her in 3 months

Paris Fury has shared her side of the story after her husband Tyson Fury told the world he hasn’t said ‘one word’ to her in three months. 

Tyson, 36, previously revealed that he has not spoken to his wife, 35, in three months, ahead of his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk this weekend.

The 36-year-old was beaten by Usyk in May in their fight to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion, so now Fury is laser focused on victory.

Fury has been living with almost monk-like discipline in Malta since October as he trains for the rematch against the Ukrainian, which takes place in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

Tyson shared that a part of his preparation was to cut off all communication with his family, including wife Paris and their seven children.

After many fans reacted negatively to Paris having to parent completely without Tyson during his training, she took to Instagram on Wednesday to set the record straight.

She shared a clip of Tyson talking about his training – including the decision to cut off his family – along with the words: ‘People don’t see the sacrifices made I’ve let him solely concentrate on this fight. It seems like he’s been gone forever especially with no contact but if it’s what he needs.’ 

‘I can’t wait [for the fight], I wish it was tonight and I was going home in the morning,’ Tyson said in an interview with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.

‘It’s been a long camp, been away from my wife and kids for three months, I’ve not spoken to Paris at all in three months, not one word.

‘Yeah, been sacrificed a lot. Listen, it’ll be worth it, 100 per cent.’

‘This time it’s been a lot easier,’ Fury said in a separate interview Sky Sports.

‘I’ve done lots of sparring and I’ve been able to train properly, whereas before it’s no secret that I didn’t do a lot of sparring, hence I had a massive bounty on my cut eye.

‘Thinking sensible, maybe I would have pushed it back a little bit and cost myself £10 million, but it doesn’t really matter because we’re here now and I’m going to do the job on Saturday night.’

Paris and Tyson were married in 2008 and share seven children together – daughters  Venezuela, Valencia, and Athena, and sons, Prince John James, Prince Tyson II, Prince Adonis and Prince Rico.

Last year the couple and their children starred in the Netflix series At Home With the Furys, which showed fans their real lives.

Tyson recently shared that they’d lost their son earlier this year, right before his first fight with Usyk.

While Paris was at home six months pregnant with their eighth child and Tyson was preparing to fight Usyk, she had to make the difficult decision not to tell Tyson she’d lost the baby.

Speaking on the subject for the first time, an anguished Fury told how he was shielded from the news ahead of his bid to become the division’s first undisputed champion for 24 years.

But he feared the worst when he learned Paris was too ill to attend the fight in Riyadh.

Asked if he was planning on having any more children, he replied: ‘Never say never. I only have seven.

‘The one that she was having, she lost that on the Friday of the fight, which was pretty s****y.

‘She was six months pregnant. It’s not like a small miscarriage at the beginning – you have to physically give birth to a dead child, on your own, while your husband is in a foreign country. To go through that on your own isn’t good.

‘I could not be there for her in that moment. And that’s tough for me. I have been with the woman for longer than I wasn’t with her, so it’s hard that I couldn’t be there with her in that time.

‘When she said she couldn’t come over, I knew there was a problem. She usually comes out on fight week but she said she had high blood pressure.

‘Turki Alalshikh (chairman of Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority) offered us a private jet to get around the high blood pressure and said she could bring the doctor with her.

‘She said she couldn’t come. I asked her what was up and asked her to tell me, but she wouldn’t. So I knew, I knew, I knew there was a problem.

‘I said to my brother “she’s lost that baby”. She never told me she had lost the baby, but I knew.

‘When I got back I got the inevitable confirmation that it was gone, but she had kept it to herself.’

Fury is insistent the unfolding tragedy had no bearing on his clash with Usyk, a fight he believes he won but which was awarded to the Ukrainian by split decision.
