Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson hit strip club on wild night out without girlfriends

Reality TV duo Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks enjoyed a festive outing without their respective partners on Wednesday night as they enjoyed the delights of a strip club.

Made in Chelsea star Sam, who is loved-up with long-time girlfriend Zara Thompson, and his BFF Pete, 36, made sure to give those who work on their Staying Relevant podcast a good Christmas party as they kicked off their celebrations with the production staff at Quaglino's in Mayfair.

Strictly Come Dancing star Pete, who is dating Love Island legend Maura Higgins, and Sam, 32, then moved the festivities from Mayfair to Soho, letting loose at strip club Stringfellows. King of the Jungle 2023 Sam looked dapper in a black suit for the works do but cut the night short at 2am as he spotted leaving the club alone and climbing to a black cab.

Former TOWIE star Pete proved he still have the stamina to party hard as he and his colleagues carried on until 4am. When Pete finally decided to end his night in central London, he was seen stumbling into a cab with a woman, believed to be a member of his staff, and another man.

Pete's bumper night comes in the wake of the Essex Lothario breaking his silence after Maura Higgins let slip about their romance during her time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! In a candid session on the Staying Relevant podcast, hosted by Pete and Sam, they caught fans up with recent developments.

Adding spice to the conversation, Sam detailed his chat with Maura post-eviction from the ITV jungle. He confessed that he aimed to dodge questions about her link-up with Pete while presenting I'm a Celebrity: Unpacked alongside Joel Dommett, due to his "loyalty to Pete beats everything".

Responding, Pete quipped: "It does until the leaving interview, and you say 'welcome to the family', so I guess that one just sort of slipped out did it?" Despite this faux pas, it was Maura herself who had actually hinted at the stirrings of love back in the Jungle to her fellow contestants, and later confirmed it on This Morning with Alison Hammond saying: "You do forget about the cameras, and I do like to keep things private, but let's be real, I said it. I can't remember saying it, but I said the words 'I miss him'."

She shared: "I do miss him, like I missed all my friends and family. Honestly, he's been so supportive, honestly. I didn't know if he was still in Strictly and I'm so proud of him, he's proud of me, and I can't wait to see him when I get back." During last Friday's (December 13) 'Coming Out' episode she admitted: "If you're missing someone, you're missing someone and it comes out. And I do, I miss him. Yeah, I really do miss him."

Pete and Maura, who've had the rumour mill grinding over their cosy antics - including being snapped sharing a kiss - have kept fans guessing as they stay hush on the truth behind their relationship. Maura spilled the beans on the hype surrounding her love life while chatting with camp pals during her time in the jungle.

Grilled by fellow camper GK Barry, she delved into the pressures of public scrutiny since her Love Island days, stating: "I get it in a sense because I know I was on a dating show, but it was five years ago." She recalled facing probes about her alleged fling with former TOWIE heartthrob Pete, to which she retorted: "You know more than me! No, I'm single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow."

Maura also reflected on keeping things under wraps in a budding romance, questioning: "What's the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don't know where it's gonna go, you know?" As GK discussed her own efforts to keep her relationship under wraps, Maura confessed: "Well we've already been papped, tongues down each other's necks and we had no idea! "

The chat then moved onto Maura's mum, who GK found quite amusing. Maura admitted she tells her everything, even the most intimate details, revealing: "and if I slept with a guy, my mum will ask me, 'Well, what was he like in the bed? ' and she will get every gory detail."

Pete and Maura first sparked speculation at the Pride of Britain 2024 afterparty at Grosvenor House Hotel's Red Bar in October. An insider at the party said, "Pete did look cosy with Maura at points but he wasn't shy about telling people he was single," adding that Pete was openly stating his single status on the red carpet and even made light of it post-awards in the bar.

Despite keeping their relationship status ambiguous, Celebs Go Dating legend Pete hasn't refrained from publicly praising Maura amidst the circulating rumours. After their photographed kiss at the 2024 Pride of Britain Awards, Pete faced some friendly grilling from his friend Olivia Attwood about his love life.

On her So Wrong It's Right podcast, Olivia, 33, didn't hesitate to delve into Pete's love life, asking: "Your dating life. Maura Higgins." Pete responded nonchalantly: "Me and Maura have known each other for a long time." Not satisfied, Olivia probed further: "You've had a kiss, we've seen it! ", to which Pete quickly retorted, "No, you haven't seen it."

But Olivia wasn't deterred, countering: "We've seen a picture of it," before prying even more: "Next thing I need to know, are you and your dance partner romantically involved? " As Pete burst into laughter, all he could say was: "My God! ", while the persistent Olivia shot back: "You don't get awards by not asking the questions! " Evading the question with a joke, Pete admitted: "One of the biggest problems is my b*******." He elaborated: "Well I'm having to wear like shapewear ... because otherwise Shirley will end up with a couple of black eyes."
