Ruth Langsford backed her fellow Loose Women to triumph in the Jungle - as she said she would say “never say never” to a This Morning return.

The presenter was all smiles as arrived into Australia to take part on the spin-off I’m a Celebrity show.

Ruth is being flown in by ITV because she is a fellow Loose Woman colleague of Jane Moore, 62, and also works with GK Barry, 25, on the ITV show.

She said at Brisbane Airport: “I think she is doing so well. Of course I am backing her to win, but of course I have Grace as well. I have two Loose Women. Maybe it could be a double win and two Queens of the Jungle.”

Talking about Jane’s performance, she added: “I thought Jane was extraordinary in her challenge when she swam underwater. That was extremely difficult, I would not have been able to do that. She was very calm, and you noticed that the only person who didn’t scream on the bus was Jane. She is a good woman.”

The former This Morning host - sporting a fresh blow-dry and bronzed tan - is heading into the jungle for a role on ITV2 series, Unpacked.

She also opened up about This Morning which is set for a shake-up after its exec producer stepped down.

Asked about the This Morning changes, she said: “I don’t know, I haven’t been on it for two years.” Asked if she would fancy going back, she said: “Never say never.”

But she ruled out going into the Jungle, adding: “Absolutely not.”

Ruth has been busy documenting her trip on social media.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, she shared three suitcases and captioned the image: "Australia here I come!! Never could travel light!!! @imacelebrity."

After landing in Dubai for the stop-over, she said "goodbye grey skies" as she enjoyed a glass of fizz. She then said her adventure was about to begin before sharing she will appear on Unpacked on Friday.

She went on to share a magazine article about her saying she was on her way to the jungle.

She laughed as she captioned the image: "Reading about myself on the plane … bizarre! Can’t believe I’ll be within touching distance of @janepmoore!!"

Ruth is taking her spot on the Unpacked couch, following on Colson Smith from Coronation Street. She will be a guest host alongside the show's presenters, Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers.

The TV star announced the end of her 14-year marriage to her former co-star Eamonn, 64, in May. He has since moved on with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 43.

Alison Hammond, who replaced Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on the Friday presenting team, today said the current This Morning stars were 'devastated' by the changes at the ITV show.

Appearing on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, Alison said Martin Frizell gave her a break on television and turned her into a household name.

The Big Brother star, 49, shared: 'I’ve worked with Martin for 10 years now, and I am, I’ll be honest with you, I’m absolutely devastated because he’s been a real rock for the show.'

It’s totally understandable as to why he’s leaving. We all know about his wife, Fiona (Phillips), and we get why he’s leaving. It’s very amicable, what he’s doing. He doesn’t want to leave, but he has to for family reasons, and we all understand that.'

As Evans branded Fiona a 'legend' Alison replied: 'I know, I love Fiona. I remember being at a party with Fiona. I’ve never laughed so much in my life. She was so, so funny. And a lovely, lovely woman.'

Asked if she'd reached out to Martin, Alison said: "Yes, I have spoken to him. I’ve sent him a little message... I think, you know, he’s upset as well. It’s an emotional situation, you know, he’s very emotional."

"He’s the one - shall I be honest with you - he’s the one who got me back on TV. He literally was like, "Alison’s really good, why don’t we use her? There was a time when I wasn’t on TV, I think it was 2007 or eight, I can’t really remember. Then Martin came on board and he was like, "Why are we not using Alison Hammond?" And he was the guy who made me the girl.

"So, you know, I’m really thankful to Martin Frizell, he’s a wonderful man. He’s going to be sadly missed. We’re all talking about it, like, behind the scenes. Everyone’s really sad. Everyone’s really gutted."
