Ruth Langsford is reportedly 'dreading Christmas' as she navigates her first holiday without ex-husband Eamonn Holmes. The pair will be keeping apart for the first time in over 20 years following their split in May this year.
According to The Sun, Ruth is not looking forward to the festive season and it has been reported that Eamonn is expected to spend Christmas with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander.
“Ruth is dreading Christmas coming up, because it will be her first one apart from Eamonn - who could be spending it with his new partner," a source told OK! Magazine, according to the publication.
"This Christmas means creating different memories. Ruth and Eammon are positively co-parenting Jack, but he’s at the age where he might want to do something different at Christmas, and that’s worrying Ruth."
Eamonn and Ruth both share a 22 year old son. As well as Jack, Eamonn is also father to Declan, Rebecca and Niall, from his first marriage to Gabrielle Holmes.

The source added: “He’s no doubt hurting too, seeing his mum and dad go through this. However, Ruth knows people will be looking up to her and feel inspired about how strong she appears on the outside.
“She knows the first Christmas will always be the hardest, and she just wants to get through it.”
Daily Express have contacted Ruth Langsford's reps for comment.
For years, the couple appeared to be one of the most solid on television, cheerfully co-hosting This Morning and giving viewers a glimpse into their humour-filled married life.

However, at some point, the laughter ceased, and earlier this year, it was announced that Ruth and Eamonn, 64, are heading for divorce.
Their representative released a statement earlier this year saying, "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."
Despite this heart-wrenching development, it appears that Ruth hasn't lost faith in love.
Speaking to Woman and Home magazine, she said: "When you have children, you look at them starting out in life and just want everything to be good for them, for them to be happy and to not have their hearts broken...You can't guarantee any of that, but that's what I want most for Jack", reports the Mirror.
