Another calls it "One of my favorite purchases," adding: "I just love the fact I can make my own ice cream with fresh ingredients and way less preservatives and calories. The taste is unbelievably good! I’m so glad I got this. Easy to use and clean as well."

However one wrote: "How do you review such a utilitarian object. It stores stuff well, it freezes stuff well, it gives up the product well and washes well. It does what it might say on the can."

Another said: "First one came broke but we rang customer service and they helped us out straight away and sent a new one the very next day. It is good and fun easy product to use however since i only made a milkshake yet it seems like it’s just a fancy blender however this could change my opinion when i make all the ice creams."

Elsewhere Amazon has slashed the price of the Cuisinart Ice Cream and Dessert Maker from £140 to £39.99, saving you a massive £100.
