Strictly star JB Gill has fought against the odds to continue with his high-scoring performances on the show, but his heartbreaking secret gesture to original partner Amy Dowden was completely missed by fans.
JLS singer JB Gill, 37, danced with Lauren Oakley last weekend, after Amy was rushed to hospital and forced to leave the series after suffering a stress fracture. Amy, 34, has overcome various health-related stumbling blocks over her time with Strictly and now the star is taking a well-deserved break while she heals from her injury.
Last week saw the Couple's Choice episode, with JB Gill taking to the dancefloor with his stand-in partner Lauren for a medley of Bruno Mars songs. While Amy recovers at home, he gave a sweet nod to her during his performance that viewers may have missed.
But It Takes Two host Janette Manrara caught the adorable gesture. After he and Lauren wrapped up their routine, he could be seen mouthing "for you, Amy".

BBC)Bringing it up on It Takes Two, Janette asked JB to confirm, to which he smiled and said she had read his lips.
Discussing his recent high score, JB explained: "It was the first tens of the series for me and the highest mark of the series, of course, but you know, there's been so much going on over the last couple of weeks. Stuff that not everybody has seen as well, as it does for lots of other couples as well. But when you ride through that and you're able to put on a performance on the Saturday night and get a great score and, of course, get the tens, it's just the icing on the cake."
Lauren went on to pay tribyte to Amy, praising her hard work, saying: "Leading on from the groundwork Amy's put in, I just want to carry the torch forward as much as I can because she's done all the work."
She added: "I want to do the partnership justice and bring my flare to JB as well because he got the best of both worlds working with a couple of professionals."
Meanwhile, Amy welled up while chatting with Lorraine about the upcoming milestone of celebrating one-year cancer-free this Saturday. The brave ballroom star opened up about her abrupt exit from the show due to a serious foot injury.
Lorraine Kelly expressed solidarity with Amy's tough journey, which has included overcoming cancer, hitting the chemo bell nearly a year ago, all while managing Crohn's disease. Addressing Lorraine's concern, Amy fought back tears saying: "I'm heartbroken, I am going to do my best not to cry."
Talking about her untimely end on Strictly, Amy stated, "I'm gutted it's ended this way. I feel I've let JB down. After those words 'you've got cancer', this was my thing." Lorraine reassured her, giving words of comfort: "It would have been so lovely if you'd have done that on the show, and I can see how upset you are, and of course you are."
She added: "But you've not let anybody down. We were just really worried about you, that was the thing because we know you've had cancer, you've been so astonishingly brave and you deal with Crohn's disease, you never moan about it and just get on with it."
