As with all reality TV shows, Summer House has experienced a number of cast changes. However, one of the most notable is Hannah Berner‘s exit. Since she departed, she’s been in a bit of a feud with current star Kyle Cooke. Now, he is speaking out about their issues. Additionally, he’s opening up about the possibility of having kids with his wife, Amanda Batula

Fans of Summer House will recall that Hannah joined the show during its third season. However, she was fired after the show’s fifth season, and it seems she thinks Kyle may have had something to do with it. In fact, she even said so on a podcast. The two haven’t been on good terms since her departure despite her still being close with some of his co-stars. Notably, she has a podcast with Paige DeSorbo, and the two are embarking on a tour.

Recently, Kyle was interviewed by The Daily Mail while on the blue carpet for an event. When asked about their issues, Kyle had nothing but good things to say.

According to him, “All I can say is this about Hannah and Paige, I am so proud of what they’ve built. They’ve built a community, they’ve built a platform, they’re hilarious, they’re entertaining, they have obviously taken it from the podcast to the live stage, they’re on tour.”

Kyle then admits that he hopes he and Hannah can work things out in the future. He says, “Whatever happened in the past, I’d like to think that one day, Hannah and I can break bread, and put it behind us.

Kyle also opened up about what fans can expect from the upcoming season of Summer House. He explains, “All in all, I think everyone is going to have a lot to look forward to, it was a great summer, very different from last. There’s always a good chance that some of the dominating storylines from one season will kind of overshadow everything the following season, so this was different in the best possible way.”

Additionally, he weighed in on Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke filming together after breaking off their engagement. Notably, Lindsay also happens to be pregnant by her new beau.

“I give them both a lot of credit, because it’s not a normal situation, right? I guess that is where the show introduces an element that is probably the most abnormal in our nine years, but you know what, it kind of reminds me of so many different friends that had traumatic breakups but the friend group didn’t break up.”

He continues, “They’re still able to coexist and socialize and have fun, I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised that that isn’t what the focus is all about.”

Kyle also opened up to Page Six about the potential of soon having kids. He begins by saying, “I want kids. I think you’ll see this past season that we just wrapped, Amanda and I [are] trying to figure out what’s next.” However, he then admits that he has “a lot going on.”

Kyle goes on, “As my mom would say, ‘You can’t time things perfectly.’ You know, there’s never going to be a right time. I would say it’s pretty imminent. But I’m trying to sort a few things out.”

Amanda previously discussed the idea of having kids and said they were “practicing” but that their dogs currently had their attention. She also said, “We’ll eventually be ready for kids.” This was in November of 2023.

Kyle also discussed Lindsay being pregnant while filming. He admitted, “She hung out with us. You’re dealing with all sorts of hormonal things [when pregnant], and she wasn’t as activated as you might think. She was a lot of fun.”

Fans can watch old episodes of Summer House on Peacock in preparation for season 9.
