The Tennessee Titans have had a tough 2024 season. The team is currently 3-11 on the season and has benched Will Levis for Mason Rudolph.
Despite hopes the Titans could return to the playoffs, that will not be the case. The issues could be due to new head coach Brian Callahan, but there is a growing theme that has been presented.
That theme is the Titans are a "soft" team. During a presser, Callahan was asked if he had heard this about the team he leads. Naturally, this led to the Tennessee head coach going on an NSFW rant.

After a reporter if he had a response to the idea that the Titans are "soft," Callahan hurled multiple curse words addressing the idea that anyone would say that.
"Do you really want to get me going today? Yeah, to be honest to you, I think that is complete and total bull****, if you want my honest opinion. These guys are tough f*******. They go after it every day. They play hard as hell. At no point, have we ever put on tape at any point this season that this is a soft football team. I can't even wrap my head around how that would even be a conversation. Just because we don't win games, doesn't mean we are soft. These guys play their ass off, they play hard, they play physical. You can ask any team that plays against us when they come off the field, they know they played us. That makes me relatively angry that would be some presumption."
"That tells me you don't want the s***. You don't do anything about, you don't know what you're talking about, you don't know what you're looking at. I am not going to stand for anyone calling this football team soft, I think that is bull****. So, if there's opinions out there that feel that way, then they don't know anything about NFL football. I'd like you to walk in there and call one of these guys soft and see what happens. This is not a soft football team at all, mentally and physically ... you can shove that one right up your a**, to be honest."
Callahan backed the Titans up in more ways than one. Despite the team having a less-than-stellar 2024 season, he states how physical they play every week. Also, he goes after the idea that anyone would call any NFL player or team "soft" considering how much they dedicate to their craft. You have to hand it to Callahan, if the players didn't have his back, they likely do now.
