What the original cast of Hi-5 is up to now

Kellie Hoggart, Tim Harding, Kathleen de Leon Jones, Charli Robinson and Nathan Foley were the original cast members of Hi-5, meaning they helped entertain and educate millions of young Aussies from the late '90s to the early '00s.

"Five in the air, let's do it together... Hi-5!"

Everyone needs a bit of wholesome nostalgia right now, so let's take a look at what the cast is up to now.

Can you believe it's been 25 years since Hi-5 first aired on Aussie TV screens?

Well, neither can original castmember Nathan Foley!

He took to Facebook to commemorate a quarter of a century since the children's show hit screens around Australia on Channel 9.

"WOW! Time flies..On this day 25 years ago the very FIRST episode of Hi-5 aired on @channel9 #damn #timeflies #reunion #anniversary

It's true, the very first episode of Hi-5 aired on April 12, 1999.

Nathan, now 45, has embarked on a solo music career. In 2022, he released his album, Hurricane.

The album features 13 songs, including his single Strut

The singer debuted his album to a live crowd, and recalled the moment on Instagram.

"It was so incredible to finally release my music to a live audience!" he wrote. "I was all anxious until I saw the crowd dancing to the songs I'd put so much of my heart into."

On his website, Foley says his new album is a "celebration of sexual empowerment" and "celebrating our authentic selves".

Earlier this year, Foley released a new single Without You Now to his fans.

He's also married to Nicolette Gomex-Foley, a Jamaican model and fashion designer.

They welcomed their first child, a son named Jackson Joel Foley, in December 2019.

Now the couple are celebrating their Jackson's fifth birthday.

Foley took to his Instagram today with a special birthday message for his son.

"A very happy 5th birthday TODAY to our amazing lil man," he wrote.

"Happy birthday Jackson, we love you all the world." 

She went on to marry video and sound engineer Addam Crawford in May 2008, but he sadly passed away in October 2018.

She marked the five-year anniversary of his death with a poignant message on Instagram.

"5 years without you," she captioned the post.

"I miss hearing your voice, your laugh, your advice, but most of all..I miss my best friend. Angus and I were blessed to have been in your life. We will always miss you."

Now 50, Kellie still works as an actor, voice artist and presenter. She was also a judge on the show All Together Now.

Now 48, Kathleen and Daniel are parents to daughters Mikayla and Keira. After living in Las Vegas for a while, they're back on the Gold Coast.

And in October, the couple celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary – 19 years.

Kathleen marked the occasion with a gushing post on Instagram.

"Happy 19th anniversary, my love! Every moment with you has been a gift, and I'm so grateful for our journey together," she wrote.

"This is what 19 years of marriage looks like.. love, happiness, and gathering countless moments of joy and unforgettable experiences. I love you ♥️Here's to many more years of adventure and love xx"

Since leaving Hi-5, Charli, now 43, moved on to multiple TV and radio gigs including the travel show Getaway. And she's also now a mother!

In December 2018, Charli and her fianceé Liam Talbot welcomed a little girl named Kensington Claire, who was followed by a younger sister, Theadora Elle, in 2020.

Tim, now 46, left Hi-5 in 2007 after suffering a broken back and toes in a motorcycle accident earlier that year.

Tim was replaced by his understudy Stevie Nicholson.

He still works as a vocalist and musician, and also loves to surf.
