After chaos, controversy, 'showmances' and the heartbreaking forced exit of Amy Dowden, it's safe to say Strictly Come Dancing season is well underway and we want to know which couple you think will lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy this year.

As the show enters week eight, viewers have witnessed the departures of Toyah Wilcox, Dr Putnam Krishan, Nick Knowles, and more. Currently, Chris McCausland appears to have one hand on the trophy, but do you think JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Sarah Hadland or one of the other many celebs still competing could pull off a shock win?

Last week's elimination saw Sam Quek leave the show, sparking controversy. Judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse found themselves under fire as viewers branded the show a 'fix', claiming another couple should have gotten the chop.

One fan wrote: "Pete should have gone home this week, he was atrocious. Yes I've read the spoiler & I'm really cross. The other pair should NEVER have been anywhere near the dance off". A second added: "This bottom two when Wynne and Pete are right there?!?!"

Following Sam's departure, the sad news broke on Monday that Amy Dowden was forced to quit the show after breaking a bone in her foot in training, meaning her partner JB Gill will dance with Lauren Oakley for the rest of the season.

Speaking on her exit, the Strictly professional said: "My heart is breaking right now. The past few months I finally felt like me again. Cancer was no longer the first thing I thought of when I woke up. It was choreography, music choices, which dances in which order, what we needed to work on. I felt free again. My goal since hearing those words you have cancer was to get back on the strictly dance floor. It's been such a challenge to get back, one I devoted 2024 too."

As it stands, the odds have Chris McCausland as the favourite to win this year's Strictly Come Dancing. According to The Express, Chris' odds currently stand at 1/2. However, Sarah Hadland and Tasha Ghouri are hot on his heels with odds of 5/2 and 8/2 respectively.

In response to the odds, BetMGM's UK director Sam Behar said: "There has been a big market move on Sarah Hadland to be crowned the next Strictly Come Dancing champion.

"Her odds of winning the Glitterball trophy have moved from 11/2 to 5/2 in the last few days. She's still behind the 1/2 favourite Chris McCausland but has become a serious contender ahead of Tasha Ghouri at 8/1 and Jamie Borthwick at 20/1."

Wynne Evans, whose time of the show has been marred by controversy, and Shayne Ward are the most likely to be sent packing this week.
