Who Is Dylan Efron, The Traitors Season 3 Cast Member?

2 days ago 2

Everyone knows who Zac Efron is. The actor hit it big on Disney with High School Musical and had a golden career in Hollywood. The good-looking Baywatch star has been private with his personal life, so fans often forget that Zac had a brother named Dylan Efron. Even though the bonus Efron hasn’t had the same career, Dylan is ready to introduce himself to fans of The Traitors.

Who is Dylan Efron?

According to his IMDb biography, Dylan, whose full name is Nicholas Dylan Harrison Efron, was born on February 6, 1992, in San Luis Obispo, California. Dylan is four years younger than Zac. Their parents, Starla Baskett and David Efron, met while working at the same power plant but divorced early on. Their father remarried and had two more children. Dylan occasionally shares photos of his siblings, and they seem to have a good relationship. The newest Traitors star is one smart cookie. He attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. It was there that he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2013.

Dylan is a successful producer and actor, having even worked on hit movie Ready Player One. Not surprisingly, Dylan was also bitten by the acting bug. He and Zac have actually worked on numerous projects together. Most recently, Dylan produced his older brother’s hit Netflix docuseries, Down to Earth with Zac Efron. The show ran for two seasons, and Dylan even made a cameo with Zac. Even though his brother is a fan of being in front of the camera, Dylan prefers to be behind the scenes when he makes his magic. Before producing, Dylan worked as a production coordinator for American Sniper and Live by Night.

Dylan Efron is a family man

The brothers have often supported one another in their endeavors. During Zac’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the Greatest Showman star gushed about his family, noting, “I know there have been a lot of sacrifices that you guys have made for me in my life, and it couldn’t have been easy. Thanks for believing in me. You’re the reason I’m here today.” Dylan was nearby, ready to hug his brother immediately after his speech.

Thanks to Dylan’s Instagram profile, fans often see the two brothers hanging out at Lakers games or hiking. While speaking to BroBible, Dylan shared that he and Zac “were always fighting with each other.” During the interview, he even joked that he and Zac were “so different” as children.

But Dylan always knew his brother was his number one supporter. He added, “Then, once I graduated college, Zac really took me under his wing and let me live with him when I got my first job in Los Angeles. He really became that older brother, and that’s when I would say we grew closer than ever. Our relationship was something that developed more as we both became adults and stopped fighting so much.”

Dylan Efron loves Mother Nature

It isn’t surprising to learn that Dylan loves being outdoors. This trait might help him in the upcoming competition. Growing up in California instilled a love of nature that hasn’t escaped him, even in his busy life. While talking to Just Jared, he once shared that he has been participating in triathlons since 2015. Dylan told the outlet, “At IRONMAN Arizona, I finished under 10 hours 30 mins. That same year, I finished in the top 1% of athletes in my age group.”

Followers can also see Dylan enjoying surfing, skateboarding, and kayaking on his social media. His IG Bio reads “Happiest Outside.” But Dylan’s love of running shines through the most out of all his hobbies.

After looking at his profile, I noticed that Dylan has also shared photos of his hiking trips in Guyana and extreme rock climbing in Croatia. In 2020, Dylan was moved by his trip to Nepal, where he decided to get a leg tattoo. He captioned the post, “This trip changed my life. We made goals, challenged our perspectives and sought change. I don’t think tattoos need to be symbolic to be art, but this one reminds me to take chances and pursue my passions with everything I’ve got.”

Dylan is more than ready to join Season 3 of The Traitors. There, he will hopefully prove he is more than just Zac’s little brother.

The Traitors Season 3 premieres January 9 on Peacock.
