BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans baffled as they spot star 'missing' from live show

Strictly Come Dancing fans were confused as Wynne Evans seemed to vanish during the live show on Saturday night until his performance.

They spotted the Go Compare ad star being strikingly absent for significant portions of the BBC One favourite in the wake of last week's drama involving his dance partner Katya Jones.

At the kick-off of the live show, Wynne, 52, was seen making the anticipated descent down the stairs alongside his partner. But as the evening progressed and more dancers made their way to the 'Claudatorium', Wynne's appearances thinned out.

As Tasha Ghouri, Jamie Borthwick, and Paul Merson all took centre stage to receive their critiques, Wynne was nowhere to be found, potentially behind the scenes. His absence became particularly pronounced when Katya Jones was spotted a stone's throw from host Claudia Winkleman.

Viewers swiftly became detectives in the mystery of Wynne's vanishing act, with fans airing their bewildered queries online. Confounded, one viewer questioned: "Have we seen much of Wynne in the Clauditorium this evening? Don't remember seeing him at all."

Another observer queried bemusedly: "Where's Wynne? " while a third viewer prodded the conundrum further, asking: "Has Wynne and Katya been in the background at any point tonight? ", and another chimed in, stating: "Yes but mostly apart.", reports Birmingham Live.

Amidst the mayhem, a fifth comment stood out with jest: "Production manager 'Keep Katya and Wynne out of all back round shots I repeat keep Katya and Wynne out of all back round shots'."

However, Wynne did re-emerge following Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin's stint, with eagle-eyed spectators quick to brand his demeanour beside Katya as decidedly 'awkward'.

One viewer captured the atmosphere, remarking: "Wynne and Katya looking awkward is comedy moment of the night."

Another observer commented on Wynne's stance: "Wynne keeping his hands resolutely in. His. Pockets."

The latest gaffe comes hot on the heels of last weeks viral moment between the two. Footage showed Katya swatting away Wynne's hand as he tried to place it on her waist.

During a subsequent tense segment with Claudia Winkleman, noticeably, Katya refrained from high-fiving Wynne. The pair addressed the awkwardness in a joint statement later, acknowledging they caused viewers discomfort, labelling the incident a 'silly joke' and affirming their solid friendship.
