Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus has been met with support from her father Billy Ray Cyrus over her latest success.
Miley, 32, was among the winners at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where she was joined by her mother Tish Cyrus. She took home the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Beyoncé for featuring on II Most Wanted, which appeared on the latter's acclaimed album Cowboy Carter. It marks Miley's third Grammy Award after winning two awards for her single Flowers at last year's ceremony.
Her father Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, whom she's thought to have been estranged from in recent years, reached out to Miley on social media over the news on the weekend. He shared his pride with his followers in a post on his Instagram page.
Alongside a photo of his daughter, Billy Ray wrote in the caption: "Congratulations [Miley] and [Beyoncé] on their well-deserved Grammy wins. Couldn't be prouder." He tagged Miley in the caption and she later liked the post. He also shared the celebratory post on his Instagram Story.
It's thought that Miley has been estranged from Billy Ray for some time, having notably left him out of her acceptance speech at the Grammys last year, despite thanking her mother and one of her sisters. She said at the time: "I want to thank everyone that's standing on this stage right now Tom, Tyler, Michael and Greg. Our teams, my team, Crush, Columbia, my mommy, my sister, my love, my main gays cause look how good I look. Anyone else? [...] All the people that we love. Thank you all so much. I don't think I forgot anyone. But I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!"

Miley said: "He has a relationship and a foot on the ground to like the real and to nature and he always did, even when he was super famous. I'm grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me." She added on the show: "He's almost like given me this map. And there's a map of what to do and what not to do, and he's guided me on both."
More recently, Billy Ray's relationships with his children have attracted attention following his performance at President Trump's inauguration earlier this month. The Achy Breaky Heart singer has shared amid rumoured estrangements with some of his kids that he wants "healing" for his family.
Following his performance, Billy Ray's son Trace Cyrus, 35, said that he "barely recognises" him. He posted: "Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it's become obvious to everyone but you. [...] Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you've pushed all of us away."
As previously reported, Billy Ray's younger son Braison Cyrus, 30, however later said that his father was "happy and healthy," writing: "I've spent the last year getting to know my dad better than I ever have. After he spent a week in the hospital in the fall, I'm grateful that my dad is happy, healthy and ready to make [a new] record."
Billy Ray has since addressed the situation himself. He reportedly wrote in a post: "Praying for the brokenhearted and their pain. Praying for my family. For my children ... sons and daughters...and their mother. Let this moment be the start of healing for us all. 'The past does not equal the future.' Amen." Clarifying his stance more recently, he wrote in a post last week: "All I want is healing for my family."
