Two Gogglebox stars have been left utterly heartbroken after they announced the death of a beloved "family member".

On Sunday (November 24), former TV couple Stephen Webb, 53, and Daniel Lustig, 43, announced the death of their sweet poodle online.

The former couple shared an adorable snap of their golden pup looking happier than ever with its tongue wagging wearing a bright orange collar.

Taking to social media, Stephen penned: “Today we said goodbye to the kindest little girl, our princess RIP." Daniel also shared a clip of their late furry friend in a heartfelt montage, which he simply captioned: “RIP.”

Fans of the Channel 4 commentary show immediately flooded to the comments to share their sympathies for their four-legged friend to the Gogglebox stars.

One user penned: “Sending love to you all [two heart emojis] I know what it feels like, they are our fur babies.” Another agreed: “Sending you the biggest love the paw print they leave on our hearts stay forever.”

A third chimed in with: “Oh my goodness Stephen I’m so sorry, she was a little darling. Sending my love to you [heart emoji].”

The pair broke their silence since they announced their divorce back in April after six years of marriage. Despite their split, Stephen and Daniel are still on good terms, with the pair still running their hair salon together.

The former Celebs Go Dating star told The Sun on Sunday at the time: “It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce.

“There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and mad ethe decision to part ways.”

Daniel added: “We’ve made the decision with a heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends.”

Stephen first appeared on the Channel 4 commentary show more than a decade ago in 2013 alongside his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed.

When the couple split, Stephen remained on the programme with his late mother Pat before he welcomed Daniel onto the show.
