Gogglebox stars heartbroken as they announce death of 'family member'

Former TV couple, Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig, have told fans they are heartbroken by the death of their beloved pet poodle

Gogglebox stars, Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig have announced the sad death of their beloved pet poodle.

The former couple told fans they were "heartbroken" at the loss, describing the pup as "our princess". Sharing an adorable snap of the poodle sporting an orange collar, sitting on the sofa with the reality stars, Stephen, ,53, took to social media, posting: "Today we said goodbye to the kindest little girl, our princess RIP." Daniel, 49, also shared a clip of the pup in the emotional post, which he simply captioned "RIP".

Following the sad news, fans flocked to share their condolences with the Gogglebox stars as one replied: "Sending love to you all" while another said: "Sending you the biggest love the paw print they leave on our hearts stay forever." Meanwhile, a third penned: "I know what it feels like , they are our fur babies" as a fourth shared: "Omg I’m so sorry. sending lots of love xxx."

Stephen and Daniel decided to divorce in April after six years together. The TV stars shocked fans when they announced they were going their separate ways, with Stephen admitting that the former couple had grown apart. Despite calling it quits, the pair were still living together while Stephen filmed Celebs Go Dating in the summer.

The hilarious hairdresser has now revealed he and Daniel "switched off" from their relationship, admitting: "We both kind of switched off and stopped working at it. The longer you leave it, the more it deteriorates to a point where there's no going back." I'm a firm believer in that life is about change and now I'm just looking forward to the next chapter of my life," he told The Sun.

However, he insisted he had an "amazing time" with his ex, who he appeared on Gogglebox with from 2018 until their departure last year.

The former couple have remained close pals and still run their hair salon in Brighton together. They even did each other's hair back in June as Daniel could heard saying in a clip on Instagram: "Aren't I lucky to have a live-in hairdresser, Stephen?" His former co-star teased: "Well, quid pro quo because I want you to wax my a**e in a minute." Daniel responded to the comment: "Urgh! No!""
