After seeing their bid for the first perfect season since the 1972 Miami Dolphins come to an end last week, the Kansas City Chiefs hit the road on Sunday to face the Carolina Panthers with revenge on their minds.

The Chiefs are 9-1 on the season after falling 30-21 to the Buffalo Bills last weekend. Even after the loss, Kansas City sits first in the AFC West, ahead of the 7-3 Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City has already beaten Los Angeles once this season, 17-10 on Sep. 29, with another matchup between the two AFC West leaders looming on Dec. 8.

It's been a somewhat up-and-down season for star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has 15 touchdowns to 11 interceptions on the campaign. Even so, Mahomes remains one of the best signal-callers in the NFL. Leading the way for Kansas City this season through the air is tight end Travis Kelce with 507 receiving yards on 62 receptions and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Kareem Hunt leads things for Kansas City through the ground with 509 yards and five touchdowns of his own.
Carolina, meanwhile, sits 3-7 on the season, last in the NFC South. However, things are looking rosier for the Panthers of late, as the team has won its last two games, defeating the New Orleans Saints 23-22 on Nov. 3 and then the New York Giants 20-17 on Nov. 17, so Sunday's game will be far from a pushover for the Chiefs.
Former No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Bryce Young, is playing solid football of late, with the former Alabama standout throwing two touchdowns to just one interception over the Panthers' last two games.
