The engagement rumours were sparked after Brittany shared photos of the celebratory night on social media. One showed Taylor sipping on a cocktail while posing with Brittany, Lyndsay Bell – another fellow Chiefs WAG – and Taylor’s close friend Ashley Avignone.

‘Hey. Um, guys? Do you feel like the pics with her hand are… blurred? Or am I hormonal,’ wrote the fan. She then zoomed in on Taylor’s engagement ring finger, pointing out that it appeared to have a slightly different tone from the other fingers. ‘Taylor is engaged, right?’ she said, speculating that Travis could have gotten down on one knee to pop the question at Taylor’s birthday bash.

When another Swiftie asked why wouldn’t she have taken off the ring for the photos, Liz replied, ‘Because wearing an engagement ring after getting engaged at a party celebrating you sounds like the most perfect night ever. At the end of the day, she’s just a girl.’

The couple have faced marriage rumours since they started dating in summer 2023, although Taylor – who previously dated 1975 frontman Matty Healy, Joe Alwyn, Harry Styles and Tom Hiddleston – has remained quite tight-lipped about her latest love.

‘Everything that man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic,’ she said.

She also commented, ‘When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.’

Travis has also spoken about their romance. ‘She's very self-aware. I think that's why I really started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends [and] family,’ he said. ‘It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she just keeps it so chill and so cool.’
