Kym Marsh says 'Pass me a bucket' over Gethin Jones comment

Morning Live's Kym Marsh didn't hold back her surprise at a remark made by her co-host Gethin Jones.

The 48 year old co-presented Thursday's episode of the popular morning show with Gordon Smart, 44. During the programme, Kym and Gordon opened up a Q&A with host Gethin Jones.

In a pre-recorded video, Gethin, currently starring in Cinderella at Cardiff's New Theatre, enthusiastically answered questions from viewers.

Responding to a viewer named Paul's query about Christmas traditions, Gethin introduced himself saying: "Hi Paul, Prince Charming here."

Kym, however, found Gethin's self-introduction rather embarrassing. She exclaimed: "Wow, did he just actually refer to himself as Prince Charming? Someone pass me a bucket!"

As the studio erupted in laughter, Kym continued: "I tell you what, he's back tomorrow, he's on the sofa tomorrow with Joanna Page. Please, please someone take the mickey out of him for that!"

Gethin, a regular face on Morning Live, has been taking time off from the BBC show while performing in panto.

The 46 year old presenter has received support from family and friends during his theatre stint and recently shared that his nephew, Alby, was among the audience on Tuesday (December 17).

Gethin shared a heartwarming photo, writing: "There are many reasons why I wanted to do panto this year. As part of that, I knew @newtheatrecdf would offer performances to suit EVERYONE."

He explained the theatre hosted a 'relaxed' show, modifying the performance to be more sensory-friendly by eliminating pyrotechnics and sudden lighting changes. The cast also took the time to introduce themselves in costume before the show.

Gethin's nephew Alby, who has autism, attended the special performance with his school and was able to take a photo with his uncle and a friend after the show. Gethin mentioned the boys 'loved it', making the moment all the more poignant.

Fans expressed delight that Gethin's nephew was able to see the show, with one commenter saying: "So special, Geth. I know Alby owns a huge piece of your heart, so it will be a wonderful memory for both of you to know he enjoyed it so much. I imagine he is as proud of his uncle again, as you are being able to put on an inclusive performance especially for him and his class."
