Liam Payne's toxicology report findings so far show traces of designer drug pink cocaine in his system.
The former One Direction singer passed away last week as he fell to the ground from his third floor hotel room as he stayed in Argentina. Preliminary toxicology findings have now come back which show that he died with cocaine in his system.
Final toxicology results are still pending and may not be made public for a few weeks. It is also not known what amount of the drugs were found in the body.
Materials extracted from the singer's body in an autopsy following his death on Wednesday had "determined the presence of the class-A drug", according to respected news portal Infobae. ABC News claimed that among those substances was "pink cocaine", which contains a lethal mixture of drugs including MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack.

It contains a mixture of synthetic substances, including MDMA (ecstasy), ketamine, and amphetamines, while some variations contain LSD, mescaline, and opioids like fentanyl.
The drug is locally called "tusi" or "tuci" and is thought to have first come from Colombia. Because of its highly variable and often unregulated chemical composition, users can be faced with significant and potentially deadly side effects including euphoria, increased alertness and enhanced sensory perception.
All of these can lead to negative experiences such as anxiety, paranoia, panic, and hallucinations, according to UK Addiction Treatment Centres. Pink cocaine is unlike traditional cocaine when it comes to chemical structure.
While regular cocaine is a naturally occurring alkaloid, pink cocaine is a "designer drug" containing phenylethylamine derivatives which brings about the hallucinogenic effect. One of Liam's friends has said he was preyed upon by those who allegedly delivered drugs to his hotel room after he had been clean for weeks.
Liam's friend explained to Mail Online how Liam had previously been in rehab in both the UK and California. They said he had recently been taken on by a new psychiatrist in Florida and those around him had hoped he was on the road to recovery.
"He went to Argentina to renew his USA visa where he had to undergo medical examination because of his history with alcohol and drugs," the source said. "The results of the tests were good. Liam was 100 per cent sober. But when he checked in at the hotel, at some point someone there started giving him drugs."
