Lindsay Hubbard gave birth to her daughter Gemma Britt Kufe on December 8. But the Summer House star only just felt ready to share her daughter with the world this week. And fans are commending the new mother for keeping it real on social media.
The former publicist played her hand strategically. Her first post-birth social media content was a picture of Gemma in a cute onesie holding her parents’ hands. Her face was not visible. A subsequent post was an homage to her association with sandwiches and a well-placed partnership with Jimmy Johns. The new mother also enjoyed champagne, sushi, and caviar postpartum.

After building up anticipation, Lindsay decided that she was comfortable to share Gemma on her Instagram page.
In a post called “Hospital Chronicles,” the Summer House star shared a carousel of photos. She included pictures of her labor, as well as breastfeeding her little girl. Gemma looks very comfortable snuggling and nursing from her mommy.
“What a beautiful journey to finally meet our baby girl. When it was ‘go time,’ it felt like such an intimate, spiritual ceremony with just us – filled with so much hope and excitement for this new chapter. A special thanks to our doctor and the team of nurses who took incredible care of us during our hospital stay!! Until next time…,” Lindsay shared.
A lot of followers commended the Bravolebrity for presenting an honest and transparent glimpse of life postpartum. Lindsay did include an image of her abdomen after giving birth. She also shared a photo in the throes of labor pains.
“I love that you’re sharing REAL photos of what birth and postpartum looks like. It’s a refreshing change from the perfectly curated ones we normally see from influences,” one follower wrote.
Another agreed, “I love how real you are with your fans.”
Gemma and Lindsay are out of the hospital now. I’m sure we will see much more of Lindsay’s sweet little girl as she grows.
Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
