Patrick Mahomes Is a Gift That Keeps on Giving to the Chiefs for Christmas

With the Chiefs prepping to play their second of three games in 11 days on Saturday against the Texans before wrapping up the trio of contests on Christmas Day against the Steelers in Pittsburgh, Santa Claus came to town in Kansas City a little early courtesy of all-world quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes, who is tentatively expected to play through a high-ankle sprain versus Houston but could have a short leash with the Chiefs leading the AFC by two games with only three left to play, previously gifted his offensive lineman with customized golf carts last year and also sent a designer golf bag his buddy Travis Kelce for his birthday this year.

Sacked 35 times through 14 games so far this season, Mahomes is nonetheless thankful for the protection he has received in the pocket from the guys up front and decided to show it via a slew of Yeti coolers packed with Christmas gifts.

According to TMZ, Mahomes did not stuff the coolers with ice and beer or hot dogs and burgers and instead opted to fill them up with some swanky sway.

Among the offerings in the $425 wheeled coolers were Rolex watches, Lucchese leather cowboy boots, Oakley sunglasses, WHOOP bands, and products from the Black Y-3 line from Adidas.

Mahomes, 29, has consistently spoken highly of his teammates. "I feel like we have the talent, we have the coaching staff and we have the work ethic to go out there and win any football game," he said at a Dec. 4 press conference. "It's about going out there and doing that on a week-to-week, day-to-day basis and I feel like we have those guys that are motivated enough to do that. But it's not going to be easy. It never is. You really have to play your best football at the perfect time in order to win a championship and that's what I've learned through my time in the NFL."

Mahomes has learned well as he's won the Super Bowl three times in eight NFL seasons (seven as a starter) and already has drawn loud comparisons to GOAT Tom Brady.

If Mahomes and the Chiefs are able to win another title this year to complete a three-peat, a feat Brady and the Patriots were never able to accomplish, those GOAT comparisons are going to get deafening.

Win or lose, Mahomes may have already passed the GOAT in the gifting department.
