Piers Morgan's furious Trump reaction as he hits out at 'woke' Talk TV guest

Donald Trump was declared on par with Adolf Hitler in Piers Morgan's latest debate - something he furiously dismissed as "brainless".

Piers was hosting an election debate with a small group, including Bitchuation podcaster Francesca Fiorentini, who called for the others to "join" her in "condemning Donald Trump for comparing [himself] to Hitler". Piers was visibly astonished, telling her: "Of all the things to go after Trump for, calling him the new Hitler is the most self-harming thing the Democrats have done."

He added: "Nobody with a brain thinks that he's the new Hitler. How many Jews has Donald Trump murdered?" However, Francesca protested that the presidential hopeful had suggested Hitler "had some good ideas" and that he "wished he had his generals".

As the argument spun out of control, with panellists yelling over each other in a cacophony of indecipherable voices, Piers repeatedly called Francesca's name in a call for order. However, he ended up posting a snippet of the video on his Twitter (X) account, writing in frustration: "It's like they have woke rabies and they just keep foaming and you can't stop them..."

The claim is based on a private conversation Trump had at The White House, where, according to former Marine Corps general John Kelly, he allegedly stated: "I need the kind of generals that Hitler had." He is also alleged to have said that the Nazi leader, who orchestrated the deaths of six million Jews, "did some good things".

However, any comparisons to Hitler were categorically denied by the presidential hopeful himself ahead of an election campaign event in Las Vegas.

He exclaimed to a Fox News journalist: "He made a statement that I’m like Hitler. It just couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s just the opposite, actually."

He went on to tell another reporter that he'd “never” suggest Hitler had done “good things”, and called US publication The Atlantic “a failing magazine" after it broke the allegations to the nation.

Trump stated he "fired" John Kelly in 2019, after less than 18 months in his post, after there had been tensions between them; it is suggested that he resigned due to the disagreements, rather than get formally fired.

Trump continued that Kamala Harris was "warped" for making comparisons to Hitler too.

Meanwhile, back on Twitter (X), fellow panellist Ashley St Clair stormed about Francesca: "Remind me never to do a panel with this mentally ill woman ever again. I needed mega Tylenol [a pain relief medication] after."

One of the 139,000 followers who'd watched the clip chimed in: "Woke rabies? Sounds like a new reality show we didn’t ask for!"

Another exclaimed: "As a Jew I find this damn offensive, especially when the left doesn’t condemn their own in regards to antisemitism."

"Nothing like people who won't listen and only want to fight, no matter what. Good on you Piers for staying so calm," praised a third.
