Former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers has shown her fans her backside after they complained about her allowing her son to ride a horse in blistering sunshine

Sam Faiers has signalled she doesn't care about sparking a fan backlash - by posing with her back to her followers.

The 33-year-old reality star has been sunning herself in the Middle East - where she has stoked controversy by working with animals in the sunshine. But after sparking a bitter backlash, she has taken to social media to show off her bum in a revealing swimsuit while throwing her hands in the sky.

The mum-of-three, who she shares with long-term boyfriend Paul Knightley, put her latest scandal behind her as she posed for a photograph in the sunshine. With a coffee in hand, the TV star posed on a lawn with a line of palm trees in front of her.

She captioned the photo: “Espresso o’clock”, with the Dubai skyline behind her. The reality star's nonchalant jaunt to the sun comes after fans lashed out at her for allowing her son to ride a horse in the blistering Dubai sunshine.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star came under attack after she shared a snap on her social media feeds, with one fan snapping at her: “Love your family but please don’t use animals for your own entertainment, it’s so hot for them, and no one knows what goes on behind closed doors.” And another raged: “Poor horse. Setting the wrong example here.”

It's not just animal rights supporters that Sam has upset lately, as she's also angered health fans. Earlier this year, she sparked fury when she sat down for a chat with Barbara O'Neill, an Australian alternative health care promoter, to discuss Crohn's disease. She told fans after the meeting: "Hey everyone. Last night, I had the privilege of attending an intimate dinner with Barbara O'Neil, surrounded by natural healers, authors, educators, and more. It was an incredible experience to be part of such a wonderful community.

"During Barbara's QandA, she answered my question about Crohn's disease. This post isn't health advice or telling you what to do. I'm just sharing Barbara's natural approach to healing Crohn's from her experience in natural healing. Take from it what you will, and maybe even try her advice to see how it works for you. I naturally got my Crohn's under control almost 10 years ago, and I continue to learn new things every day. The body truly is amazing."

But her PSA was slammed by followers who accused her of peddling dangerous fake medical advice. One enraged fan wrote: "This is so insulting and not what an ambassador of CCUK should be posting. A lot of the IBD community are very hurt, angry, and upset right now. How do you plan to heal that?!" And another fan fumed: "This is incredibly insensitive and wrong to post as someone with a large following. IBD cannot be fully controlled by diet, anyone can go into remission or flare up at any point in life."
