Unrecognisable Home Alone star's huge film confession 34 years after iconic film release

A star of Home Alone made a shocking confession as fans start to watch the festive classic which was released almost 34 years ago

A star of Home Alone took on a very different role almost 34 years on from the iconic film's release - and made a huge confession about the flick.

Taking to the runway at the Dennis Basso show at New York Fashion Week, the actress was worlds away from the role that made her famous. And the now 59-year-old looked unrecognisable while doing so.

The star had earlier confirmed to fans she had signed with Elite Model Management, and she looked stunning on her maiden runway appearance. Kristin Minter strutted down the runway as if she'd been doing it forever as she confidently rocked a gold and white patterned coat with chic cream trousers. She carried a white clutch and wore chunky white earrings to complete her look for her catwalk debut. She slicked her hair back for the occasion.

The career change comes after she rose to fame as Heather McCallister in the hit 1990 festive film. She starred alongside Macaulay Culkin, Catherine O'Hara and Joe Pesci in the classic - but revealed she has only watched it once since its release.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she confessed: "I've actually only seen Home Alone - and I wouldn't even say I saw it all the way through - once, at a screening. I remember I went to go and see Goodfellas, which came out right before I went to the screening of Home Alone."

She continued: "I actually had to walk out of the theatre and get some air and stuff and then I remember with Home Alone it was the first screening I'd ever been to of something I was in and as soon as I saw my face, I burst into tears. And I've just never sat down and watched it again. I've seen bits and pieces, but I hate hearing my voice."

Kristin was clearly loving the new role, however, and took to Instagram to share her experience with her followers. Shortly after the gig, Kristen shared snaps from the event and wrote: "Walking NYFW after 40 years but I didn't fall! Small victories! Thank you Dennis Basso for making me part of your show and new beginnings. #dennisbasso". Her post was met with delight from her followers, including one who simply wrote: "Spectacular".

Another was in agreement and penned: "Stunner," while a third labelled her "incredible". "Repping 50+ like a golden goddess," gushed a fourth, while another said: "Woohoo!! You look beautiful!."

Kristin replied to her followers, admitting she was "blushing" at all the compliments.

As well as Home Alone, Kristin's impressive CV includes the likes er ER, Ray Donovan and Dirt. Movies include Cool as Ice, where she starred alongside rapper Vanilla Ice.
