Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard Wanted ‘Boyfriend To Be Celebrated’ at Baby Shower

Lindsay Hubbard decided to buck trends and create a unique baby shower. As ever, the independent Summer House star followed her instinct on what she wanted to do. And maybe even started a new trend.

The former publicist didn’t want a “traditional baby shower.” She instead opted for something that would give her boyfriend, Dr. Turner Kufe, as much regard as her.

Lindsay Hubbard is excited for this “new chapter” in her life

Lindsay revealed exclusively to Page Six that the couple decided on a his-and-hers baby shower.

“What makes my baby shower more unique is it’s a joint baby shower for his-and-hers to celebrate — not just the baby mama, but also the baby daddy,” the Summer House star shared.

She added, “I wanted my boyfriend to be celebrated and loved and supported by his friends and family as much as I am by my friends and family. So that was the main decision.”

It’s been a continuous theme in this relationship that Lindsay does not what to push outcomes or “put too much pressure” on the situation. Such was the feel for this event, as the Bravolebrity opted for a real party over something more formal.

“I didn’t want a traditional baby shower where it’s me and all my girlfriends and I’m sitting in the chair [opening gifts],” Lindsay shared. “That’s not fun for anyone. People just want to celebrate you and have fun and enjoy themselves.”

Among the attendees were Summer House co-stars Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and Ciara Miller. The expectant mother wore a pink Costarellos dress with silver heels. Lindsay chose an updo to complete her look.

The “warm colors” of her dress were mimicked in the venue. Paris Cafe decorated the space with dusty rose and mauve tones for the celebration.

“When I went to see the space, it was just so beautiful, so open, especially during the day. [It] has tons of windows for sunlight to pour through and feels very like indoor/outdoor,” Lindsay gushed.

Ultimately, the day was about celebrating the connection between two families. One thing is for sure, Lindsay’s #hubbcub will have a lot of people doting over her when she arrives.

“It’s really special to go into this new chapter of my life gaining a family, especially for our daughter to have cousins nearby that she gets to play with and call her family as well,” she shared.
