Fans of Strictly Come Dancing were left worried after professional dancer Amy Dowden's absence was noted during the results show, following her hospitalisation post-Saturday's live performance.
Her dance partner, JB Gill, stood solo on stage while host Tess Daly explained that Amy could not attend but withheld further details.
It emerged just before Sunday evening's results announcement that Amy Dowden, who courageously returned to the BBC competition this year after a tough battle with breast cancer, had been rushed to hospital for safety after feeling ill in the studios. A statement regarding her condition was later released by her representative.
The spokesperson clarified: "Amy was feeling unwell, so an ambulance was called as a precaution. She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern. We request Amy's privacy in matters of health is kindly respected."

On missing the latest Strictly episode, Amy's celebrity partner, JB Gill, expressed gratitude to their supporters via Instagram. He posted a snapshot from their recent Halloween special dance, captioning it with a heartfelt note: "On behalf of both @amy_dowden and I, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for voting for us and wishing us well."
"We absolutely loved our performance on Saturday night and are SO grateful to be through to another week on @bbcstrictly Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support.", reports Birmingham Live.
