Helen George on what the future holds for Trixie in Call The Midwife
Call the Midwife star Helen George has shared a “new chapter” in her life after marking a major milestone.
The actress, who plays Nurse Trixie Franklin in the BBC period drama, took to her Instagram Stories to share an update with fans.
Snapping a selfie with her long brunette hair tossed over one shoulder, Helen threw one arm up in the air to show off the new home she’d just moved into.
While the background of the shot was blurry, a few rooms and a dark radiator were just about visible, while Helen dressed up in a tight-fitting black T-shirt with silver stud earrings glinting at her lobes.
She wrote in her caption: “New home, new chapter. Thank you @davisandmac for working so hard to move me in! You’re the best.”

The move comes more than a year after Helen split from her partner of seven years, Jack Ashton. The pair are still co-parenting their two daughters Lark and Wren, but confirmed that they are no longer together in a statement to The Mirror.
Helen said: “Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”
Helen and Jack first met on set of Call the Midwife, where Jack was playing Tom Hereward in the show. They welcomed their first daughter, Wren Ivy, in 2017, followed by Lark in 2021.

In November 2023, Helen was spotted leaving her co-star Olly Rix’s house in West London with her dog Charlie. A source told The Sun: “It’s been a tricky year for both Helen and Olly. They have been spending a lot of time together on set, walking their dogs together and chatting a lot.
“They both have respect for each other as actors and they are supportive of each other and dedicated to their roles on the drama. The changes in their relationships have caused a lot of upheaval."
But by June 2024, sources were reporting they’d “drifted apart”, and Olly unfollowed Helen on Instagram shortly after.
