Eamonn Holmes allegedly texted his new partner for the first time over 10 years ago.
Earlier this year, the presenter split from fellow TV star Ruth Langsford, leaving fans gobsmacked. It was been claimed that Eamonn, 64, and his 42 year old partner Katie Alexander first linked up in 2015 but now, insiders are alleging that things kicked off way back in 2012.
Katie's former husband George, who she divorced last year after 12 years of marriage, was all banter about it. The 53-year-old even once made a quip that Katie's chit-chat with Eamonn seemed flirty, cracking a joke online: "Good job we're both Red," cos they’re both mad for Manchester United.

A source told The Sun: "We knew Eamonn and Katie got together via social media, but no one knew how far back they went. Ruth will be shocked they were in contact 12 years ago. I don't think she would have known."
Insiders have claimed that Eamonn Holmes gets a real kick out of responding to his followers, but it's his connection with Katie that took a romantic turn. "At the outset George joined in with the online banter. He would never have guessed Katie was going to get together with Eamonn years down the line," they claimed, reports the Mirror.
It's clear there's no hint of any romance while Eamonn was still hitched. This news drops just as Eamonn's ex, Ruth, confesses she didn't have a disaster plan post-split.
Chatting to Woman and Home, she dropped the bombshell: "I don't have a plan B because I never had a plan A. Ever! " She didn't stop there, gushing over her lad Jack as "The most delightful, caring and wonderful young man," and despite her marriage woes, she's not ruling out love, hoping Jack finds his own slice of happiness.
TV star Ruth opened up about her deepest desire in life, saying: "Happiness. Happiness for my son Jack. When you have children, you look at them starting out in life and you just want everything to be good for them, for them to be happy and to not have their hearts broken."
