Emmerdale looks set to kill off one of its villagers at Christmas.

And it seems Kim Tate (Claire King) is in for a shock. Fans have been wanting Kim's sister to pop up in the village as they fear she has nobody to look out for her, but a theory has now emerged that Kim will kill one of her fellow residents.

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) rekindled his romance with Kim during recent scenes from the Dales. Fans will remember that Will cheated on Kim earlier this year before being blackmailed.

However, it was revealed Kim was behind it all after learning about his cheating. She put Will through hell after his infidelity and the pair ended up in a bitter feud.

Kim was determined not to let him get his hands on her fortune. She also hired financial advisor Peter - who she ended up sleeping with - in a bid to protect her wealth.

But Kim realised she still loved Will and the pair called off their divorce. Will and Kim are now planning on renewing their vows on Christmas Day.

But a shocking twist revealed Peter and Will have been in cahoots for months, all in a plot to take down Kim. And Peter is working with a mysterious person who wants to wreak havoc on Kim.

The only thing we seem to know about the villager is that they're a male and currently live abroad. Even Will doesn't know who it is. The mysterious man is planning on rocking up to the village on Christmas Eve - just in time to ruin things for Will and Kim before they renew their wedding vows.

And things took a dark turn on Wednesday's episode (December 18) with Peter issuing Will a stern warning if he doesn't stick to the plan. Appearing to tease Will's death, Peter fumed: "This isn't someone you would want to get on the wrong side of. If you want to see in the New Year, you better stick to the plan."

But viewers think another twist is in store and that it's Kim who is actually in cahoots with Peter and she could end up killing Will over the festive period. "Kim's the one pulling the strings and she will kill Will on Christmas 100%," said one person on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page.

Someone else replied: "Queen Kim can put him six feet under!" A third chimed in: "I do hope so as he's a horrible man. Came into the relationship with nothing, cheats on here then demands half of her money!"
