Australian film veteran Wendy Dickson has died at the age of 92.
The star had worked in showbiz for over six decades, working with a number of legendary actors and actresses, including Meryl Streep. She was well known for her impressive costume and production design work.
Among her film credits are The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith from 1978 and 1985 movie, Bliss. Perhaps her biggest accolade came in 1988's award-winning drama Evil Angels. The flick starred Meryl Streep and Sam Neill. Wendy is said to have a falling out with director Fred Schepisi during the production that is based on the Lindy Chamberlain story.

Getty Images)Elsewhere in her career, she won praise for her designs on Shakespearean drama from 1972, Antony and Cleopatra. The movie featured the likes of Charlton Heston.
She also worked for the Oscar winning producer and writer Carl Foreman. His best known work included the classic American western High Noon, which was released in 1952. She became a high demanded designer in the 70s after racking up an impressive list of credits. Her production design work on The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith was widely praised.
She married film and TV director Ken Hannam, known for directing Sunday Too Far Away, in 1968. They divorced almost 20 years later in 1986, but remained on good terms.
News of Wendy's death first broke in September, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald. No cause of death was released at the time. According to the outlet's obituary, Wendy was: "An indomitable spirit who trekked the Himalayas in her 70s and then completed a master’s thesis in French Colonial Architecture to keep her mind active."
